I mean, yeah, it’s right in the heart of the old quarter – and I’m talking proper cobblestone streets and medieval walls kind of old town – but these aren’t your typical cramped European apartment rentals. The moment you walk into one of these units, there’s this perfect balance between historical charm and modern comfort that honestly feels rare at this price point.
The apartments themselves have these gorgeous high ceilings and original architectural details that remind you you’re sleeping in a building with actual history, but then you’ve got proper kitchens with decent appliances and bathrooms that don’t make you feel like you’re roughing it. I stayed during peak summer season and was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it stayed at night – the thick stone walls really do their job, even when the nearby squares get lively. What I really appreciated was the space; after months of cramped hotel rooms, being able to spread out and actually unpack felt like a luxury. The living areas are generous enough that you’re not tripping over your suitcase every five minutes.
Location-wise, you’re literally steps from all the main sights but tucked away enough that you’re not dealing with constant tour group traffic right outside your door. I could walk to the cathedral in maybe three minutes, and there’s this little bakery around the corner that locals actually use – always a good sign. The 9.8 rating makes total sense once you’re there; it’s one of those places where you can tell someone actually cares about the details. Even check-in was smooth, which honestly can make or break your first impression of a place. The only minor thing I’d mention is that if you’re traveling with heavy luggage, some of the buildings don’t have elevators – typical old town situation – but they do let you know ahead of time. For the quality and location, it’s genuinely solid value, especially if you’re staying more than a couple nights and want that apartment feel rather than the hotel routine.

The entire apartment is yours and it’s very spacious. Old furnitures and paintings add a nostalgic atmosphere and feels like a movie. There’s enough utensils in kitchen and in the entire house. Air conditioning is more than enough, especially in Budva’s heat. Owner is helpful. The apartment is in the quiet side of the old town which is great.
What could be improved: Not a big problem but you need to have shampoo and shower gel.
This apartment occupies 3 floors and on each floor there is a small room (1st floor (ground floor) - living room, 2nd floor - kitchen and bathroom, 3rd floor - bedroom). Everything is as in the pictures: paintings on the walls, antique furniture etc. Kitchen is fully equipped, there is a washing machine and a medium sized fridge. Each room is equipped with an air conditioner.
There is a small window with sea view on the 3rd floor.

Квартира занимает 3 этажа, на каждом этаже расположена небольшая комната (первый этаж - гостиная, второй - кухня с туалетом и душевой кабиной, третий - спальня). Всё как на картинках: на стенах висят картины, кругом стоит антикварная мебель, которой иногда даже слишком много. Есть хорошая кухня со стиральной машиной и среднего размера холодильником. В каждой комнате есть кондиционер.
Вид на море есть только в одном маленьком окне на третьем этаже.
What could be improved: The apartment has too many floors to be convenient. Toilet is on the 2nd floor which is inconvenient both in the morning and during the day. The staircase is wide, but has no railings, for us it did not matter, but it still seemed dangerous especially because the floor is on the slippery side.
The shower drain was clogged.
The internet was too slow - probably due to a weak antenna in the GSM router with a sim-card. And the battery in the router runs out of charge too fast. We decided to use our own mobile internet instead.
The bell tower right outside the window rings once every 30 minutes and tells current time every hour, even during the night - not for people with a shallow sleep.

Этажей слишком много, это красиво но не практично. Туалет на втором этаже не удобен ни утром на сонную голову - нужно спускаться, ни днем - нужно подниматься. Лестница широкая, но не имеет перил, нам это было не принципиально, но всё равно выглядит опасно, т.к. пол достаточно скользкий.
Слив в душевой кабине был забит.
Интернет слишком медленный. Хозяин выдал GSM роутер с сим-картой, но сигнал в нем слабый, сквозь этажи он не пробивает и батарея долго не держит заряд. Чаще приходилось использовать свой собственный мобильный интернет.
Колокольня за окном отбивает время каждый час и по одному разу каждые полчаса, в том числе ночью - не для людей с чутким сном.
