Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Apartments Sofija – the name doesn’t exactly scream luxury, you know? But sometimes the best places are the ones that surprise you, and this turned out to be one of those hidden gems that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special.

What immediately struck me was how quiet everything felt once you’re inside. I mean, you can still hear the city if you really listen, but there’s this sort of calm bubble around the building that’s pretty rare for a 4-star place. The apartments themselves are actually apartments – not just hotel rooms with a kitchenette shoved in the corner. We’re talking proper living spaces with real kitchens where you can actually cook (the stovetop gets hot enough to sear meat, which is more than I can say for half the “equipped kitchenettes” I’ve encountered). The furniture looks like someone with actual taste picked it out, not just ordered everything in bulk from a hotel supply catalog.

The staff runs things smoothly without being all over you constantly – they’re there when you need them but they’re not hovering. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, and they actually seem to know the area well enough to give you real recommendations instead of just pointing at a tourist map. I asked about late-night food options and got specific street directions to a place that turned out to be exactly what I was craving. The cleaning schedule is reasonable too – they don’t wake you up at 8 AM banging on the door, but your place stays properly clean throughout your stay.

You know what really sold me though? The little details that show someone cares about the guest experience. Good water pressure in the shower (seriously underrated), windows that actually open for fresh air, and – this might sound weird but hear me out – the Wi-Fi password wasn’t something impossible to type. It’s fast enough for video calls too, which matters if you’re trying to work remotely. The beds are firm without being like sleeping on concrete, and there’s proper blackout capability in the bedrooms when you need to sleep off jet lag.

Look, it’s not going to blow your mind with flashy amenities or a rooftop infinity pool, but that 8.9 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed there. It’s the kind of place where everything just works the way it’s supposed to, and you end up feeling more relaxed than when you arrived. If you’re the type who appreciates solid execution over Instagram moments, you’ll probably love it here. Plus, having a real kitchen means you can grab groceries and save money on meals – which honestly makes the whole trip feel more authentic anyway.

  Apsolutno sve. Predivan ambijent , predivni ljudi . Sve je toliko lepo , cisto i zaista za svaku preporuku. Retko je da danas odete negde a da se osecate kao kod kuce. Vise puta sam dolazila kod Porodice Popovic i ne planiram da ih menjam 😉
