You know what? Villa Mirjana isn’t trying to be something it’s not, and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it work. When I first pulled up, I’ll admit I was wondering if I’d made the right choice – it’s got that lived-in apartment building feel rather than the polished hotel lobby vibe. But here’s the thing: sometimes you want a place that feels like you could actually live there for a week, not just pass through.

The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious, which you don’t always get with these family-run places. I mean, you’ve got actual kitchen space where you can spread out your groceries instead of playing Tetris with a mini fridge. The owner, Mirjana (yeah, it’s actually her name on the building), clearly knows what travelers need – there are enough power outlets, the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, and the water pressure is solid. Look, I’ve stayed in four-star places where you’re lucky if the shower works, so these basics matter more than you’d think. The furnishing is a bit dated, sure, but everything’s clean and functional, and the beds are actually comfortable – not those rock-hard European mattresses you sometimes get stuck with.

What really sold me on the place was how quiet it gets at night, even though you’re not stuck way out in the suburbs. Mirjana mentioned that most of her guests are families and couples who want to cook some of their own meals and settle in properly, and you can tell. There’s this relaxed vibe where people aren’t slamming doors at 2 AM or treating the hallways like a nightclub. The balconies – and most units have them – are perfect for morning coffee when the weather’s decent. Parking was way easier than I expected too; there’s actually space nearby, which anyone who’s driven around European city centers knows is basically winning the lottery. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no lengthy presentations about resort fees or pushy upsells, just keys and genuine recommendations about where to grab good local food. For the price point, especially if you’re staying more than a couple nights, it’s honestly hard to beat the value. You’re getting real living space without paying resort prices, and sometimes that’s exactly what a trip needs.

  I am very satisfied, it has a beautiful yard, lots of flowers and a fountain that my daughter is delighted with. The apartment is clean and has everything you need for a stay with your family. The location is in quite area and close to the beach. The staff is very friendly.
