Apartments Villa Sveti Nikola Overview
You know what struck me first about Villa Sveti Nikola? It’s one of those places where the name actually makes sense once you’re there – there’s this genuine old-world charm that feels intentional, not manufactured. I mean, it’s technically apartment-style accommodation, which honestly worked out way better than I expected. You get that independence of having your own space without sacrificing the comfort you’d want from a proper hotel stay.
The whole setup feels like someone’s well-maintained family property that they decided to share with travelers, if that makes sense. The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious – I’m talking actual room to spread out your stuff, not those cramped European “studios” where your suitcase becomes furniture. The kitchenettes are functional too, which is clutch if you’re staying more than a couple nights or traveling with kids who need familiar food options. What really got me was the attention to little details that most places skip – decent water pressure (seriously underrated), windows that actually open for fresh air, and furniture that doesn’t feel like it was assembled five minutes before you arrived.
Location-wise, you’re in that sweet spot where you feel connected to the area without being in the thick of tourist chaos. I found myself walking to most places I needed to go, and there’s something nice about stumbling back after dinner without having to navigate major crowds or figure out transport. The neighborhood has that lived-in feel where you’ll see locals going about their day, kids playing in small squares, that sort of thing. Parking was straightforward too – not always a given in these older areas where streets were designed for donkeys, not rental cars.
Here’s the thing that really sealed it for me: the 8.6 rating isn’t just inflated review scores from people who got upgraded. You can tell this place has figured out the basics and does them consistently well. Check-in was smooth, the space was clean without that over-sanitized hotel smell, and when I had a question about the area, the staff actually gave me useful local recommendations instead of pointing me toward the nearest tourist trap. It’s three stars on paper, but honestly feels like it’s punching above its weight class. The kind of place where you end up staying longer than planned because it just works, you know?
To book a hotel in Budva during peak Mediterranean season, travelers need early planning as this coastal gem draws visitors eager to experience its pristine beaches and historic old town.

The property has the best view ever. The owner Tamara was very responsive to all the queries that we had. She even gave us a good recommendations for food and spots to go to. Neighbour is lovely as well, he helped us out in finding the place as we didn’t have any internet on our first day. The apartment is quiet and has a lovely sunrise and sunset view.
What could be improved: Location is a bit tricky if you don’t have a car. We used taxi to travel around. But the owner Tamara- gave us a good taxi recommendation which we used a lot in all our travels in Budva and going back and forth to Kotor. We also noticed that there’s a-lot of construction activities in the area.Jolanta from United Kingdom – 14 March 2024 (9/10)
