So I stumbled across Apartments Visi during my third visit to Budva, and honestly? It’s one of those places that makes you feel like you’ve figured out Montenegro better than the resort crowds. The building sits right on Jadranski put – that’s the main coastal road that locals actually use to get around, not just the tourist strip everyone talks about. When you first walk up, it’s got that straightforward Balkan apartment block vibe, but don’t let that fool you because the location is actually brilliant.

Here’s what I mean – you’re literally a five-minute walk from Budva’s old town walls, but you’re positioned just far enough from the mayhem that you can actually sleep at night. I stayed there in July (yeah, peak madness season) and while the main beach areas were absolutely packed, I could walk out my door and find quieter spots along the coast that most tourists never bother with. The apartments themselves are exactly what you’d expect from a solid 3-star place – clean, functional, with those little touches that show someone actually cares. The kitchenette situation is perfect if you want to grab fresh produce from the morning market near the bus station, and trust me, you’ll want to do that at least once because the tomatoes there are ridiculous.

What really sold me on this place, though, was the practical stuff that nobody mentions in those glossy hotel descriptions. The parking situation is manageable – not easy, because nowhere in Budva is easy for parking in summer, but manageable. The building’s set back enough from the road that traffic noise isn’t constantly grinding away at you, which is huge along Jadranski put. And here’s a local tip that took me years to figure out – from Apartments Visi, you can walk to that little bakery near Slovenska Plaza in about eight minutes, and they open at 6 AM with the best burek you’ll find outside of someone’s grandmother’s kitchen. The 8.1 rating makes complete sense to me because it’s not trying to be something it isn’t, you know? It’s just a well-run, honest place that gets the fundamentals right. If you’re the type who needs a pool and evening entertainment, look elsewhere. But if you want a clean base to explore from, with actual Montenegrins as neighbors and easy access to both the tourist bits and the real Budva, then Apartments Visi hits that sweet spot perfectly.
