You know what caught me off guard about Aqua Mare? I was expecting just another decent apartment rental, but this place actually feels like someone put real thought into making guests comfortable. It’s tucked on Filipa Kovačevića street – and honestly, that’s kind of perfect because you’re close enough to hear the buzz from Budva’s old town without dealing with the late-night party chaos that hits the main strips. I mean, you can still walk to Slovenska Plaža in maybe eight minutes, but you’ll actually get some sleep.

The apartment itself has this clean, modern vibe that doesn’t feel sterile – if that makes sense. The kitchen is properly equipped (I’m talking real cooking equipment, not those sad mini-fridges and hot plates you usually get), and the balcony… well, depending on which unit you snag, you might catch glimpses of the Adriatic between the buildings. The air conditioning actually works, which is clutch during those sweltering July and August weeks when Budva turns into an oven. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – the street has enough local foot traffic that it feels safe, but it’s not one of those party zones where you’re listening to drunk tourists until 4 AM.

Here’s the thing about the location that the booking sites don’t really capture: you’re positioned perfectly between the medieval old town charm and the newer beachfront developments. Walk one direction and you’re browsing the morning markets near the citadel walls, walk the other and you’re at those beach clubs that get packed with the Instagram crowd. Parking can be… well, let’s just say Montenegro hasn’t quite figured out the whole urban planning thing yet, but the hosts were actually helpful with suggestions. The 9.4 rating isn’t just inflated review scores – I’ve stayed at “luxury” hotels in the Balkans that felt more impersonal than this place. Sometimes these higher-rated apartments deliver because the owners are still small enough to care about details, you know? Plus, there’s something refreshing about having your own space when you’re exploring a place like Budva – you can grab fresh produce from the local markets and actually cook with it instead of eating out every single meal.

  До пляжа идти минут 30-40, но без перепадов высоты. Прямо в доме есть столовая, рядом много магазинов.
  В квартире слишком много вещей, возможно, это добавляет уюта, но декоративных вазочек и штучек просто десятки. Зато на кухне есть абсолютно всё, необходимое для готовки, и даже сверх того, а также соль, сахар, масло и много другого. Очень уютно сидеть на балконе и любоваться морем!
  
  What could be improved: Парковка не предоставляется, точнее, хозяева показывают бесплатную общую парковку в 5-7 минутах от дома, но своей частной нет.
