I mean, anyone who’s stayed right in the thick of things during summer knows how those medieval stone walls just bounce sound around all night.

The place itself has this sort of understated vibe – it’s a solid 3-star setup that doesn’t try to be something it’s not, but actually delivers on what matters. The rooms are clean and surprisingly spacious (I had one of the apartments, and the little kitchenette was actually functional, not just for show). What I really appreciated was the air conditioning that worked properly – sounds basic, but you’d be amazed how many places in Montenegro skimp on this during those brutal July afternoons when it’s pushing 35°C. The owner, I think his name was Marko, was genuinely helpful with local recommendations. He told me about this bakery around the corner that opens at 6 AM – best burek in town, and locals actually go there, which says everything.

Location-wise, you’re perfectly positioned without paying Old Town prices. Walk down toward the water and you hit that gorgeous stretch of beach near Hotel Budva in maybe five minutes. But here’s the thing most people don’t realize – if you head the other direction, up toward the main road, there’s this little market where you can grab actual groceries instead of tourist-priced snacks. Super handy if you’re staying in one of their apartments. Parking can be a bit tricky during peak season (July-August gets absolutely mental), but there’s usually something available on the side streets if you’re not too picky about walking an extra block or two. The 8-point rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind, but everything works, it’s clean, the location is smart, and honestly, the value is solid for what Budva has become price-wise. I’d definitely stay here again, especially in shoulder season when the whole town feels more manageable and you can actually enjoy those sunset walks along the promenade without fighting through crowds.
