Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard “Azur Apartment,” I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But sometimes you stumble onto those hidden gems that completely flip your expectations, and this is definitely one of them. The 9.4 rating should’ve been my first clue that something special was happening here.
What strikes you immediately is how un-hotel-like it feels, which is actually the whole point. These aren’t your typical cramped rooms with bolted-down furniture – you’re getting actual apartment living with space to breathe. I mean, you can cook your own breakfast if you want (though honestly, who travels to do dishes?). The kitchenettes are surprisingly well-equipped, not just the usual mini-fridge and sad coffee maker situation. The whole setup makes you feel less like a tourist passing through and more like you’re actually staying somewhere that could be home for a while.
The staff here really gets it – they’re not hovering around trying to upsell you on spa treatments or restaurant reservations every five minutes. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, no unnecessary drama or hidden fees popping up. What I appreciated most was how they actually listen when you ask for local recommendations. You know how some places just hand you the same tourist brochure? Not here. They’ll tell you which coffee shop has the best pastries in the morning (and which ones to avoid when they’re swamped), or where to grab groceries if you’re planning to use that kitchen. Small stuff, but it matters when you’re trying to get a feel for a place.
The cleanliness factor is spot-on too, which isn’t always a given even with higher-rated places. Everything feels fresh without that overwhelming chemical smell some hotels blast you with. The beds are actually comfortable – I’m talking real sleep, not that tossing-and-turning-because-the-mattress-is-either-too-soft-or-feels-like-concrete situation we’ve all been there for. And here’s something you don’t always think about until you’re dealing with it: the water pressure is solid, and the hot water doesn’t mysteriously disappear mid-shower.
I think what pushes this place into that high rating territory is just how well thought out everything is. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the space (revolutionary, I know), there’s decent natural light in most units, and the whole place has this relaxed vibe that makes you want to hang out rather than just crash between sightseeing marathons. It’s the kind of place where you might actually find yourself staying in for a lazy morning, which says something about the comfort level.
Is it perfect? Well, it’s still a 3-star property, so don’t expect marble bathrooms or 24-hour room service. But honestly, for what most travelers actually need – a clean, comfortable base with some personality and staff who care – it delivers way above what you’d expect for the category. If you’re the type who values that apartment-style freedom over fancy hotel amenities you probably won’t use anyway, this place makes a lot of sense.
