Okay, so B4 might not win any awards for creative naming, but honestly? Sometimes the places with the most straightforward names end up surprising you the most. I stumbled across this little 3-star spot almost by accident, and I’m actually glad I did.

First thing you notice walking in – it’s got that comfortable, lived-in feel that you don’t always get with hotels trying too hard to impress. The lobby isn’t trying to be a Instagram backdrop, which I mean, is kind of refreshing these days. Check-in was smooth, no weird upselling attempts or overly chatty desk staff (though they were perfectly friendly, don’t get me wrong). What really caught my attention though was how clean everything felt without that sterile, just-bleached smell some places have. You know what I mean – that chemical tang that makes you wonder if they’re covering something up.

The rooms are… well, they’re honest rooms. Nothing fancy, but everything works the way it should. Hot water actually stays hot for your entire shower – I know, revolutionary concept – and the bed was surprisingly comfortable for a 3-star place. I’ve definitely slept worse in hotels that cost twice as much. The walls aren’t paper-thin either, which is always a gamble with mid-range places. I could hear some hallway chatter during busy check-in times, but nothing that kept me up at night. One thing I appreciated was the blackout curtains actually blocked light properly (seriously, why is this so rare?). The wifi reached every corner of the room and didn’t cut out every ten minutes, which honestly puts it ahead of some supposedly upscale places I’ve stayed.

Here’s the thing about B4 – it doesn’t pretend to be something it’s not, and that’s exactly why it works. The staff seems genuinely happy to be there, not just going through hospitality motions. When I needed an extra towel, it showed up in like five minutes, no big production about it. Breakfast was simple but done right – fresh coffee that didn’t taste like it was made yesterday, decent pastries, nothing fancy but nothing disappointing either. I actually found myself lingering over coffee longer than usual because the dining area had these big windows that made morning feel… I don’t know, less rushed somehow. The whole place has this quietly efficient vibe where everything just works without anyone making a big deal about it. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need when you’re traveling – a place that feels reliable without being boring, comfortable without trying too hard. It’s the kind of spot I’d book again without hesitation, which is honestly higher praise than it might sound.
