You know what really struck me about Bel Mare Apartments? It’s got that whole “hidden gem” thing going on, but without the pretentious attitude. I mean, a 9.4 rating doesn’t just happen by accident – there’s something special here that the locals have clearly figured out while most tourists are still wandering around looking for overpriced hotel chains.

The apartment setup is honestly brilliant, especially if you’re one of those travelers who gets tired of eating out every single meal (and let’s face it, your wallet gets tired too). Each unit feels like someone actually lives there – not that sterile, everything-bolted-down hotel vibe you usually get. The kitchens aren’t just for show either; they’re properly equipped, which I discovered when I decided to hit up the morning market and cook something decent for once. The bedrooms have this lived-in comfort that makes you sleep better than you have in months, and the bathrooms are surprisingly spacious – none of that “shower in a phone booth” nonsense you sometimes find at four-star places.

What really sets this place apart though is how the staff treats you. They don’t hover or act overly formal, but somehow they always seem to know exactly what you need before you ask. When I mentioned I was looking for a good spot to watch the sunset, the front desk guy – I think his name was Marco – didn’t just point me toward some tourist trap. He actually drew out a little map showing me this quiet spot about ten minutes away where apparently half the neighborhood goes in the evenings. That’s the kind of insider knowledge you just don’t get at bigger hotels. The whole check-in process was refreshingly smooth too, no endless paperwork or upselling attempts, just “here’s your key, the wifi password is on the nightstand, and there’s decent coffee down the street if you’re up early.” I actually was up early most mornings – it’s surprisingly quiet here despite being right in the thick of things, though you do get a bit of street noise if you leave your windows open on weekend nights. Not enough to bother you unless you’re an incredibly light sleeper, but worth mentioning. Honestly, after staying at places that cost twice as much and deliver half the experience, Bel Mare just makes sense. It’s one of those rare spots that manages to feel both relaxing and energizing at the same time, probably because you’re staying somewhere that locals actually respect rather than just tolerate.

  Bel mare was awesome in many regards. Its near the sea, has s supermarket not far a away. The appartment was cleaned daily. A good air conditioner is installed.
  The host Zoran is a very kind.
  For my next staying in budva, i will again come to Bel mare.
