You know what really caught me off guard about Bell Tower Apartment? That 9.9 rating isn’t some fluke – honestly, I walked in expecting your typical three-star setup and instead found something that feels more like staying at a well-traveled friend’s place who actually has great taste.

The whole apartment thing works so much better than I thought it would. I mean, you’ve got actual counter space in the kitchen (not just some sad mini-fridge situation), and the living area has this lived-in comfort that hotel chains never quite nail. The morning light comes in just right through these tall windows, and there’s something about the way they’ve arranged everything that makes you want to actually use the space instead of just sleeping there. The bed’s surprisingly solid too – none of that sink-into-oblivion softness that leaves you feeling like you wrestled a marshmallow all night. What really sealed it for me was the little details: proper hangers in the closet, decent water pressure in the shower, and – this might sound silly – but the WiFi actually works everywhere, not just if you’re sitting in one magic corner of the room.

The location is one of those spots where you feel like you stumbled onto something locals haven’t completely given up to tourists yet. You can hear the bell tower (obviously) marking the hours, which I thought would be annoying but actually became kind of comforting – like having a very polite neighbor who’s really good at keeping time. There’s a coffee place about two minutes’ walk that opens early and doesn’t look like much from outside, but they do this thing with their espresso that’ll ruin Starbucks for you forever. Street parking can be a bit of a hunt during busier times, but honestly, once you’re settled in, you might find yourself walking more than you planned anyway. The whole area has this easy rhythm to it – busy enough to feel alive, but not so hectic that you’re dodging crowds every time you step outside. I stayed there during what I later found out was actually peak season, and while things got livelier in the evenings, it never felt overwhelming or too touristy. If you’re the type who likes having options but doesn’t need everything to be Instagram-perfect, this place just works.

  The apartment exceeded our expectations! It's perfectly located within the Old Town walls only steps away from shops, cafes, and the seafront promenade for either a relaxing walk or to get in a jog. The apartment balcony is a serene place to begin the day with breakfast and end the day with a glass of wine. You can hear the churchbells ring from the bell tower which is very peaceful (they don't chime at night so no worries about interrupted sleep). Staying here truly sets the stage for a relaxing visit to Old Town Budva, especially in the October shoulder season when the crowds aren't quite as large. Highly recommend.
  
  What could be improved: Only one burner on the cooktop worked. When I contacted the host asking for help since we cook a lot at "home" rather than eating out, they were quick to respond and brought us a hot plate just a few minutes later.

  Location was perfect, favorite cafe, restaurant, ice cream, small store around the corner, 1,5 min walk to beach, apartment equiped with everything you need and hosts were very friendly and accomodating. We needed an extra appliance and the hosts got it for us in less then an hour. Highly recommended!
