Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Blue Dreams Apartment? The name actually makes sense once you’re standing on that 15th floor balcony, looking out over Budva’s coastline with all that blue stretching to the horizon. I mean, it’s not fancy – this is a solid 3-star spot – but honestly, the views do something special here that most of the pricier hotels down by the Old Town can’t touch.
The apartment sits in this residential building on Proleterske, which I’ll admit sounds intimidating if you don’t know Budva, but it’s actually perfect positioning. You’re far enough from the main tourist chaos (trust me, Budva gets intense in summer) but close enough that you can walk to everything that matters. The locals who live in the building are pretty chill – I never had any issues with noise, and the elevator works reliably, which… well, if you’ve stayed in older Montenegrin buildings, you know that’s not always a given. Check-in was straightforward too, though make sure you get clear directions beforehand because the building entrance isn’t super obvious from the street.
What really won me over was how the place feels once you settle in. The apartment itself is clean and functional – nothing Instagram-worthy, but everything you actually need works properly. The kitchen’s got enough space to make breakfast (there’s a decent market about five minutes away if you want to grab some local cheese and bread), and honestly, eating on that balcony in the morning became my favorite part of each day. You can see the marina from up there, watch the boats heading out early, and if you look left you get glimpses of the medieval walls of Stari Grad. The Wi-Fi held up fine for work calls, and the air conditioning – crucial in July and August – actually keeps the place comfortable without sounding like a jet engine. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this neighborhood, but there’s usually something within a block or two if you don’t mind a short walk. The beach access is what sealed it for me though – you’re maybe ten minutes on foot from some quieter stretches of coast where you won’t be fighting for towel space, but Slovenska Beach and all the beach bars are totally walkable when you want that scene. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was planning a longer visit where having that apartment setup makes more sense than cramped hotel rooms down in the thick of things.
Hotel in Budva booking should be done early, especially during summer season when the city hosts internationally popular music festivals and beach parties.
