Hotel Description
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from Blue Horizon when I first pulled up to Sremskog Fronta – it’s this quiet residential street that most tourists completely miss because they’re all hustling down to the main Budva strip. But you know what? That’s exactly what makes this place work. The apartment sits in Becici, which is basically Budva’s calmer, more grown-up sibling where you can actually sleep at night without hearing music thumping until 4 AM.
The thing about Blue Horizon is that it gets the fundamentals right in a way that honestly surprised me. The apartment itself feels lived-in rather than sterile – I mean that in the best way possible. There’s this sense that someone actually thought about how you’d move through the space, where you’d set your coffee cup in the morning, how the light hits the room in the afternoon. The balcony (and there’s always a balcony in Montenegro) gives you just enough of a sea glimpse to remind you why you came, without the premium price tag of those front-row properties. Parking was straightforward too, which anyone who’s driven around Budva in July will tell you is basically a small miracle.
What really sold me on the place was its positioning – you’re far enough from the Budva old town chaos that you can decompress, but close enough that a ten-minute walk gets you to some seriously good seafood spots that the cruise ship crowds haven’t discovered yet. There’s this little bakery around the corner that opens early, and I found myself grabbing burek there most mornings before the beach crowd descended on Becici’s stretch of coast. The beach itself is less cramped than Budva’s main beaches, with that same gorgeous Adriatic water but more space to actually enjoy it. Evenings were perfect for walking back from dinner – the street’s got decent lighting and you’ll often hear families chatting from their balconies, which gives the whole area this authentic residential vibe that’s getting harder to find along this coast. Look, it’s a three-star place that doesn’t pretend to be anything fancier, but sometimes that’s exactly what you need – somewhere comfortable and real where you can base yourself while exploring one of the Balkans’ most beautiful coastlines.
Exploring Budva offers visitors an unforgettable journey through Montenegro’s coastal jewel, from its ancient citadel to its pristine beaches and lively summer atmosphere.
