Boho Old Town Budva
Boho Old Town Budva
You know what caught me off guard about Boho Old Town Budva?
You know what caught me off guard about Boho Old Town Budva? The name actually fits – and I mean that in the best way possible. Walking up to this place on Slovenska Obala, you’re literally steps from where the old stone walls meet the Adriatic, and there’s this relaxed, artsy vibe that feels authentic rather than trying-too-hard bohemian. The building itself has character – it’s not some sterile modern block, but it’s not trying to be a palace either. Honestly, at first glance I wasn’t sure what to expect from a 3-star spot in this location (because let’s face it, anything this close to Budva’s old town usually costs a fortune or cuts major corners), but they’ve found this sweet spot that works.
The rooms have this eclectic charm that grows on you – think mismatched vintage furniture that somehow works together, local artwork on the walls, and those little touches that make you feel like you’re staying in someone’s well-traveled apartment rather than a cookie-cutter hotel room. I mean, my bathroom had these gorgeous traditional tiles that you’d never find in a chain hotel. The beds are actually comfortable too, which isn’t always a given in this price range. What really sold me though was stepping out onto Slovenska Obala in the morning – you’re right there where locals grab their coffee before the tourist crowds wake up, and you can walk to Stari Grad (the old town) in maybe three minutes without breaking a sweat. The beach? Even closer. You’ll hear some street noise if you’re a super light sleeper, but honestly, it’s part of the charm – the sound of people actually living their lives rather than just tourist buses rumbling by.
Here’s the thing about the 7.3 rating – it feels about right, and I don’t mean that as a backhanded compliment. This isn’t luxury, and they’re not pretending it is. The staff genuinely seems to care (the guy at reception gave me actual local restaurant recommendations, not just the touristy places), the location is unbeatable if you want to be in the heart of everything, and there’s this laid-back atmosphere that’s perfect if you’re planning to spend most of your time exploring rather than lounging in your room. Sure, the wifi can be spotty on the upper floors, and don’t expect room service or a concierge desk – but for the price point and the vibe they’re going for, those feel like fair trade-offs. If you’re the type who wants to experience Budva like a temporary local rather than a resort guest, this place gets it right.

What could be improved: Bathroom was small and impossible to wash face or hands when I took shower the water was leaking tot he room but other than that all worth the money

What could be improved: No wifi, sim card solution did not work
Exceptional Everything was great !!!
Good communication. Great location. Some minor problems. Amazing location. Air-con was great. Fairly clean room. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating. They allowed me to store my baggage till late. Good communication.
What could be improved: No toilet paper provided, I had to buy. Neighbours can be loud. No wifi, host gave me a SIM card which seemed complicated (I didn’t use it). Very small sink. ‘Wet bathroom’ plan not ideal.
Great location but otherwise not recommended . Great location . Nice hard working agent . Room very clean . Aircon worked .
What could be improved: Room with many broken items . No wifi or working TV . Broken glass and wood . Did not feel secure . Cash demanded on arrival . Agent very hard working and tried hard but no English and a muddled check in . We cut stay short to one night . Maybe worth40-50e for location .
Worth the money. The place is near the beach, town, restaurants, coffee shops. You got everything there in just few minutes walk. The owner of the property is very kind, approachable and accomodating to my needs. My check out is normally 11AM. But then my train is later than that so i ask if i can stay for another 3 hours and agreed and charge me 20 euro which is good and affordable. Thank you for accomodating me. I will be come back surely with my wife.
What could be improved: Nothing really. Because the property is good location and clean.
