Hotel Description

You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from Boreti Residence when I first pulled up – it’s got that unassuming three-star look that could go either way. But honestly, this place surprised me in the best possible way. The moment you walk through the front doors, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about the details here. The lobby has this lived-in elegance, sort of like staying at a well-traveled friend’s apartment rather than some sterile hotel chain.

What really won me over was how the staff treats you – not with that overly rehearsed hospitality you get at bigger places, but with genuine warmth. The woman at check-in (I think her name was Marina?) knew the neighborhood like the back of her hand and gave me restaurant recommendations that were spot-on. She even drew little maps on hotel stationary, which I mean, when’s the last time someone did that? The rooms themselves are thoughtfully put together – nothing fancy, but everything works properly and there’s actually decent water pressure in the shower, which you’d be amazed how many places get wrong. I particularly loved the windows; they’re these old-style ones that actually open wide, and in the morning you get these amazing cooking smells drifting up from the street below.

The location turned out to be perfect for what I needed – close enough to walk to the main attractions without being in the thick of tourist chaos. There’s this little bakery about two blocks down that opens ridiculously early, and I got into the habit of grabbing coffee there before the rest of the world woke up. Parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving (the streets are pretty narrow), but the hotel staff will point you toward a decent garage that’s not too expensive. Honestly, for an 8.3 rating, I was expecting good, but Boreti Residence delivers something better – it feels authentic. It’s the kind of place where you settle in quickly and start feeling like a temporary local rather than just another tourist passing through. Sure, it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury amenities, but if you want a genuine experience with people who actually care about your stay, this is your spot.

Reviews

  • Laoise from United Kingdom – 17 September 2024 (8/10)

Amazing view, with a wonderful host – he helped us book taxis whenever needed and was super friendly. The apartment was high spec and really comfortable. 10 minute walk to a lovely beach and shops, plus free parking.

What could be improved: Maybe missing a couple of small touches for the room e.g. a coffee machine but no pods, no wine glasses, a dishwasher but no tablets, otherwise no complaints.

  • Nandit from United Kingdom – 26 July 2024 (9/10)

The View, the amenities, the room service

  • Kristine from Latvia – 28 September 2024 (8/10)

Clean rooms, amazing view, market is at 8min distance, nearest restaurant 10 min. The host was very nice and answered all questions

What could be improved: the road from apartment to the beach was ~10 minutes but not so easy – the height and get down was challenge, especially while crossing driving road.

  • Moran from Portugal – 21 September 2024 (8/10)

The view is amazing and the room size also very confortable!
The owner was very nice and available for us.
    New!!

What could be improved: There were ants everywhere. The owner came and clean the apartment and it made the difference.
There's no enough parking at the location, we had to block other cars and leave the keys at the owners. It was okay, no the best solution.

  • Malin from Sweden – 5 August 2024 (9/10)

Amazing view and interior. The host is very serviceminded and helpful, always a text away and usually around in the building. The apartment is perfect if you come by car as there is no real sidewalk infront. We rented a scooter which worked well to avoid the traffic and do some grocery shopping.

What could be improved: You will need to bring your own towels, tablets for dishwasher, washing machine etc. and a few basic things could be added to the kitchen i.e. bottle opener, real knives, but overall you will manage to cook with the existing gear.

  • Jarosław from Poland – 19 June 2024 (8/10)

amazing view from the terrace, comfortable room.

What could be improved: we were missing additional utensils, (only two glasses available), lack of wine glasses etc, coffee maker without coffee tabs, lack of dishwasher tabs. I would recommend to provide more equipment for other guests especially for those who are staying there more than two nights.

  • Rosanna from United Kingdom – 31 May 2024 (8/10)

The view from the apartment is fantastic, it will definitely give you vacation withdrawal.

  • Yulia from Montenegro – 13 October 2023 (9/10)

Very good new appartment, equiped with everything. Perfect view on the city and bay, big balcony. Comfortable sofa and bad. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Hotel is located very high, we liked walking, so for us it was ok, but for those who doesn't walking much is better rent a car or take taxi.

  • Marta from Germany – 8 September 2023 (8/10)

Beautiful view. The host was helpful when there was a problem with our room and the issue was quickly solved.

What could be improved: The facility was new but there were some things that need finishing/improving (free hanging cables for example). We had a car but for guests who do not, it can be problematic to move around.

  • Anneca from United Kingdom – 11 August 2023 (9/10)

The room is beautiful seems quite new. Absolutely stunning views from the balcony! The towels, bedding and mattress are all clean and very comfortable.
The host is a really nice guy willing to help with anything. The room has everything you need, washing machine, coffee machine, plates, glasses etc. Everything is close by. There's a little bus that will take you from budva to boreti area but better to taxi from there, not walk.

What could be improved: Initially we had a really noisy neighbours, so the host eventually changed the room but worth him considering soundproofing the place a bit better to avoid any issues in the future.
You really need a car which we didn't have. So taxi costs can add up and the prices are quite extortionate at times. If you choose to walk it's a very steep uphill and quite difficult unless you're really in shape.
