The name’s a bit of a mouthful, honestly, but don’t let that throw you off because this 4-star spot is doing something really special with that 9.6 rating (and yeah, those numbers don’t lie).
The whole vibe here feels intentional without being precious about it. I mean, you can tell someone put real thought into every corner – from the way the garden spaces flow into the indoor areas to how the spa doesn’t feel like some sterile afterthought tacked onto a hotel. It’s actually integrated into the whole experience, which is refreshing. The Ruzmarin theme runs through everything too, and I’m talking about the herb, not just some random name they picked. You’ll catch subtle rosemary scents in unexpected places, and the garden – well, that’s where they really shine. It’s not massive, but it’s thoughtfully designed with these little nooks where you can actually disappear for a while with a book or just zone out.
What really gets me though is how they’ve nailed that boutique balance. You’re not dealing with crowds fighting over pool chairs, but you’re also not stuck in some tiny place where the walls are paper-thin and you hear every conversation in the hallway. Parking situation is sorted, which honestly is half the battle these days. The only thing I’d mention is that if you’re someone who needs constant action and nightlife right outside your door, this might feel a bit quiet for you. But if you’re looking for that sweet spot where you can actually unwind without feeling like you’re in the middle of nowhere, this place really delivers. It’s the kind of spot where you end up extending your stay if you can swing it.

The best start to our honeymoon. This place is excellent with lovely views looking down the valley and the mountains with also views of the sea. The rooms are spacious and well presented. The staff are super friendly and accommodating and the food in the restraunt is great. Will definitely be coming back to stay again.
The rooms were spacious and clean, newly renovated. The breakfast was delicious using fresh produce, local cheese and cured meats. The team on site were friendly and helpful and went out of their way to help us. Exceptional service! Location is great, even though a little off the beaten track, still a relatively short taxi ride to Budva.
What could be improved: I can’t think of anything really.

We paid for beautiful views and a nice looking hotel, and we got unforgettable moments in the price! We formed bonds of friendship with the people who work here, and that's what makes this hotel special. In the evenings we were always able to talk to them about various topics (a warm greeting to the cook and his son), which was a great experience. The staff even prepared my boyfriend a surprise cake for his birthday. If you are looking for breathtaking views and a cozy hotel with great people, this place should be your first choice.
Beautiful space with a gorgeous pool. Had such a boutique feel to it and the staff/owners were so kind and helpful. The complimentary welcome drink on arrival was also a lovely touch.
We loved this hotel and its team. We were holidaying as part of our ruby wedding anniversary celebrations and the team at Ruzmarin went above and beyond to make our holiday extra special. The room we were allocated was beautifully decorated, furnished and appointed. We had a fabulous terrace with wonderful views. The restaurant was small but the food and wine we had there were lovely. The breakfast selection was always fresh and the team were happy to accommodate requests where possible. Huge thank you to Lazar ( owner) and congratulations on such a successful opening season. Thanks also to Slobodanka, Aleksa and the room maids for making our trip so enjoyable
What could be improved: Nothing
There were many things to love about Hotel Ruzmarin. The owners and all the staff were wonderful and went way beyond our experience in other hotels. They could not do enough for us. We were looked after almost like family. The location was so peaceful, the views were fabulous and the breakfasts were great. We had a fabulous massage during our stay even though the spa was not open yet. There are almost not enough superlatives for this hotel and the people involved with it.
What could be improved: Unfortunately there some issues with water supply and power during our stay and the hotel does not yet have back up facilities. The water was cut off locally 3 times for a number of hours during our 10 day stay, which we realise was out of the control of the hotel, but did affect our stay. The power was lost after a storm and was also off for a number of hours. The hotel has only been open a few months and they are looking at ways to avoid issues like this in the future. The location of the hotel is very peaceful in the hills and taxis were easy to obtain to Budva. We hired a car for our stay but I would not recommend this as the roads were often tight, narrow and have severe twists and turns.
