You know what caught me off guard about Boutique Hotel Tate By Aycon?
You know what caught me off guard about Boutique Hotel Tate By Aycon? It’s one of those places that actually lives up to its name β and honestly, that’s rarer than you’d think with boutique hotels these days. I mean, half the time “boutique” just means they painted the walls dark gray and called it a day, but this place gets it right.
The moment you walk in, there’s this immediate sense that someone really thought about every detail. Not in an obsessive, museum-like way, but more like staying at a friend’s place who happens to have incredible taste. The lobby has this warm, lived-in elegance β think rich textures and artwork that looks like it was collected over time rather than bought in bulk from some hotel supplier. The staff knows your name by the second day, which sounds cheesy but actually makes a huge difference when you’re trying to get restaurant recommendations or figure out the best time to avoid crowds at local spots. They’re the kind of people who’ll tell you the coffee shop around the corner opens at 6:30, not 7 like Google says, because they actually go there themselves.
What really sets this place apart though is how they’ve nailed that sweet spot between polished and comfortable. The rooms feel spacious without being cavernous, and there’s proper storage space β you know, actual drawers and closet space where you can unpack and feel human again. The beds are seriously good (I’m talking sleep-until-checkout-time good), and the bathrooms have that perfect water pressure that makes you wonder why your shower at home is so disappointing. I stayed during what seemed like a busy period, but the sound insulation is excellent β no slamming doors or hallway conversations bleeding through at midnight.
The 9.6 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a few days. It’s not trying to be the flashiest place in town, but everything just works the way it should. Check-in was smooth, housekeeping is thorough without being intrusive, and there’s this attention to small things that adds up β like actually good coffee in the room and toiletries that don’t make your skin feel like sandpaper. The kind of place where you find yourself lingering in the common areas because they’re genuinely pleasant to be in, not just pretty to photograph. If you’re looking for somewhere that feels more like a well-curated home base than a generic hotel room, this is definitely worth considering. Just don’t expect it to be the cheapest option β quality like this comes at a premium, but honestly? It’s worth it.

What Our Guests Say
Nicely decorated and clean. The bed is firm but very comfortable, just like we like it. The staff was very polite and helpful. The location is 30 min. walking distance away from the Old town of Budva. Very peaceful, you can even hear birds song π
What could be improved: Not all programs on the TV are available. The air-conditioning (heater/ventilation) kept turning on every hour or so...

Breakfast great
Wow! Everything! Nicely tucked away lovely views from rooms. Comfy beds. Amazing breakfast, staff so attentive!
What could be improved: Nothing!
I would rate this hotel 100 and not just 10 out of 10. It was the gem of the whole Budva experience. The staff are very friendly, you feel really welcome in this place. The hotel is modern and spotlessly clean, its interior design draws attention, there are lots of details you want to examine closely. Breakfast is good, plus the refreshments are available all day long in the cafeteria. There is also an underground car park
What could be improved: It`s not an issue but just something to keep in mind. The underground car park is pretty small, it can probably accomodate only 4 or 5 cars, so during the peak season you`d better book it beforehand. To get to the car park you need to drive into the lift, which will then take you down. Getting into the lift may be a bit tricky for a newbie.
What an absolute gem this hotel is. We loved everything about our stay here!
The staff were so friendly, helpful and lovely, going above and beyond to make our stay extra special. The breakfast was amazing each day and the hotel and rooms are clean and modern, with added touches of thoughtfulness. We would definitely stay here again and will be recommending it to friends.
