Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard “Bucanero Apartments,” I was expecting something pretty basic. But this place actually surprised me in the best way possible. It’s tucked away in Budva, and while it’s technically a 3-star property, it punches way above its weight class. The 8.0 rating makes total sense once you spend a night or two here.

What really gets me about Bucanero is how it feels more like staying at a local friend’s place than some sterile hotel. The apartments themselves are spacious – I mean, you’ve got actual room to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. The kitchenettes are surprisingly well-equipped too, which honestly saved me a fortune since eating out in Budva every meal can get pretty pricey, especially during summer when the coastal crowds hit. You know what I really appreciated? The little details like having enough outlets near the bed (why is this so rare?) and decent water pressure in the shower. These things matter when you’re dealing with sandy beach days and long walks around the old town.

The location is where this place really shines, though the address listing might not tell you much. You’re close enough to hear the buzz of Budva’s nightlife if that’s your thing, but far enough away that you can actually sleep at night – trust me, this balance is harder to find than you’d think in this town. I could walk to the beach in about ten minutes, maybe fifteen if I was being lazy about it, and the old town walls are practically next door. There’s this little bakery nearby that locals actually go to (not just tourists) where you can grab fresh burek in the morning – the kind of spot you stumble across and feel like you’ve discovered something special. Parking was surprisingly manageable too, which anyone who’s driven around Montenegro’s coast will tell you is basically a miracle. The staff genuinely seemed to care about making sure I had what I needed, without being overly fussy about it. Sometimes you just want someone to point you toward the good restaurants and leave you alone, you know?

Hotel in Budva booking should be done early, especially during summer season when the city hosts internationally popular music festivals and beach parties.

  Tolle Raumaufteilung. Schön hell und super Ausblick. Alles für den täglichen Bedarf ist fußläufig erreichbar.

  De eigenares bracht ons van het busstation naar de accommodatie.
  
  What could be improved: De hygiëne was ondermaats. Kookmateriaal was onvoldoende. We kregen weinig uitleg van de eigenares. De douche werkte niet goed en zette de hele badkamer onder water. De slaapbank functioneerde niet. Er lagen haren in het bed. Foto’s waren misleidend.
