I mean, sure, it’s not going to win any design awards, but there’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that feels like, well, somewhere you could actually live for a week without going crazy. The Wi-Fi worked fine (tested it thoroughly – old habits), and the air conditioning didn’t sound like a helicopter landing, which honestly puts it ahead of half the places I’ve stayed on the coast.

What really sold me on this place was the location – you’re tucked away enough to avoid the worst of the tourist chaos, but still close enough that you can walk to the Old Town without breaking a sweat. The morning walk down to Slovenska Beach takes maybe ten minutes if you’re not in a hurry, and there’s this little bakery on the way that does these incredible burek pastries. The neighborhood gets pretty quiet after the dinner crowd disperses, which I appreciated after spending days dodging cruise ship groups in the old quarter. And here’s something the booking sites don’t tell you – the building’s got decent sound insulation, so you won’t be kept up by every scooter that putters by at 2 AM (trust me, this matters more than you think). The 8.7 rating makes sense once you factor in the parking, the space, and the fact that you’re getting genuine value without the tourist tax that comes with those fancy hotels right on the water. It’s sort of perfect for people who want to experience Budva without paying resort prices or dealing with resort crowds every time they want to grab a coffee.
