The furniture isn’t fancy, but it’s solid and actually functional – you know, the kind of stuff you’d pick for your own place. What really got me was the little details: decent coffee cups instead of those tiny paper things, proper hangers in the closet, and – this might sound weird – but the shower actually has good water pressure, which honestly can make or break a stay after long beach days.

Location-wise, it’s pretty much perfect if you want to be in the thick of things without the chaos. You’re close enough to the Old Town that you can walk there in flip-flops (about 8-10 minutes), but far enough that you’re not dealing with the late-night party crowds stumbling around at 3 AM. I’ve noticed the neighborhood gets this nice morning buzz when locals head to work, then settles into a mellow afternoon vibe. The narrow streets around there can get a bit confusing at first – I definitely got turned around my first visit – but once you figure out the layout, everything’s super walkable. There’s this little bakery maybe two blocks away that does incredible burek in the mornings, and you’ll find a proper grocery store within easy walking distance, which is clutch if you want to grab some local wine and cheese for the balcony.

What really sells me on this place is that it strikes this sweet balance between being comfortable and authentic. The staff actually remembers you if you’ve stayed before (rare these days), and they’re the type who’ll give you real recommendations, not just point you toward tourist traps. Sure, it’s not luxury – the WiFi can be spotty during peak summer months, and the air conditioning works fine but isn’t arctic-level powerful. But honestly? Those minor quirks just add to the character. The 8.0 rating makes sense to me because it delivers exactly what it promises without any pretense. It’s the kind of place where you settle in by the second day and start planning your next visit before you’ve even checked out. If you’re looking for an authentic base to explore Budva without breaking the bank or dealing with resort nonsense, this is your spot.
