Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Budva Felix Suites – I mean, it’s a 3-star place in one of Montenegro’s busiest coastal towns, so you kind of brace yourself for the usual tourist trap situation. But you know what? This place actually surprised me in the best possible way.

The suites themselves have this refreshing simplicity that feels intentional rather than cheap. The rooms are spacious enough that you’re not bumping into furniture every time you turn around, and there’s something really satisfying about having a proper kitchenette when you want to grab some fresh seafood from the local market and cook it yourself. The air conditioning actually works – which, trust me, matters a lot during those sweltering July afternoons when Budva feels like it’s melting into the Adriatic. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night, despite being close enough to the old town that you can walk to Stari Grad in about ten minutes. The walls must be decent because I never heard my neighbors, even during peak summer when the place was packed with families and couples.

The staff here genuinely seem to care about what they’re doing, which is rarer than it should be in busy beach towns. They’ll actually give you real recommendations – not just the touristy restaurants that probably give them kickbacks, but places where locals eat. One of them told me about this tiny konoba tucked away in the hills above town that I never would have found otherwise. Check-in was smooth, and when the shower head in my bathroom got a bit wobbly, maintenance showed up within an hour to fix it. The cleaning crew does their job properly too – fresh towels that actually smell clean, not like they’ve been sitting damp somewhere. Parking can be a bit of a dance during high season, but there’s usually something available if you’re patient, and honestly, that’s better than most places in this part of Budva. The 9.2 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here a few days – it’s not trying to be something fancy and failing, it’s just doing the fundamentals really well at a price that won’t wreck your vacation budget.

  Very convenient location if you want to visit Budva, Kotor and Tivat. Incredible views from the apartment. Sufficient parking spaces, well equipped common kitchen and comfortable rooms. All that you could ask for.

  The view from our room was amazing. The property was accurate to its description. The owner was considerate and kind and they have lovely pets.

  A lovely warm welcome from the kind, friendly, and happy staff, they carried my bags to my room, gave me a change of room to one with a big private garden for my dog which he loved, strong and stable internet ideal for work video calls, everything perfectly clean and tidy, plenty of toilet paper and clean towels, basic toiletries, nice decor, power shower, small fridge in the room plus lovely shared kitchen and dining room with big balcony and a fabulous sunrise and sunset panoramic view over the water, free parking right outside. Perfect.
  
  What could be improved: Everything was pretty great and I probably would have stayed a bit longer, but the €10 per night pet fee would have taken me over budget. A couple of the sockets in my room didn’t work but there were enough anyway so no problem.

  Everything was very cool. Friendly, helpful and hospitable staff. The room and the hotel are comfortable, clean, and cozy. Stable good Wi-Fi. Our room had a beautiful view of the sea. The beach is 10 minutes away, however, the road to the beach turned out to be a little difficult for me. A great place to relax. Especially if you don't like noisy places.

  Incredibly warm and welcoming staff, free wi-fi excellent facilities, huge space for the 4 of us, close to the beach and the Old Town – ideal for a short stay in Budva
  
  What could be improved: The beach is not accessible for elderly/ disabled visitors, it is quite a steep climb, and a taxi is required to visit the Old Town, but they provide you a Whatsapp number and it's less than €5 – none of these are criticisms of the place, just the location!

  Good location for travelling by car. Very nice view from the terrace. The beach is within walking distance but there is a steep hill to climb. Very kind, welcoming and helpful hosts.
