I mean, you’re still close enough to walk to everything (maybe 15 minutes to the main beaches), but you get to come home to actual Montenegro instead of just another seaside resort bubble.

The apartment itself is one of those genuine local stays where you can tell someone actually lives here part of the time – there are real books on the shelves, proper coffee cups instead of those flimsy hotel ones, and Natasa clearly knows her stuff about keeping the place comfortable without trying to be fancy. The 9.1 rating makes total sense once you settle in, because it’s all the little things that work: strong wifi, decent water pressure, and – this matters more than you’d think in Budva summers – cross-ventilation that actually keeps things cool without cranking the AC all night. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this neighborhood (like most of old Budva, honestly), but there’s usually street parking if you’re not precious about walking a block or two.

What I really appreciated was how Natasa runs things – she’s responsive without being hovering, gives you solid local recommendations without the hard sell, and the check-in was refreshingly straightforward. You’ll hear normal neighborhood sounds – kids playing, someone’s TV, the occasional scooter – but it feels authentic rather than annoying. During peak season, you’re close enough to slip down to the waterfront for dinner or drinks, but you can also grab groceries at the local shops and actually cook a meal without feeling like you’re missing out on some essential tourist experience. It’s basically the perfect setup if you want to experience Budva like someone who lives here, rather than just passing through.
