Hotel Description

You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Carsko Selo Blizikuce – honestly, the name alone had me wondering what I’d gotten myself into. But this place actually surprised me in the best way possible. It’s one of those hotels where you can tell someone really thought about the guest experience, not just threw together another generic property and called it four stars.

The whole vibe feels authentically local without being kitschy about it, if that makes sense. Walking through the lobby, you get this immediate sense that you’re somewhere with actual character – there’s this subtle blend of traditional elements with modern touches that doesn’t feel forced. The staff genuinely seems to know their stuff too, which I mean, sounds basic but you’d be amazed how rare that’s become. During check-in, the front desk person actually gave me solid recommendations for dinner spots that weren’t just the usual tourist traps, and they were spot-on. The rooms themselves are well-appointed (I hate that phrase but it fits here) – everything works like it should, the bed is actually comfortable, and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. I particularly appreciated the attention to soundproofing; you’re not hearing every conversation in the hallway or door slam at 2 AM, which honestly makes or breaks a stay for me.

What really sets this place apart though is how it sits in the area – you’re close enough to get where you need to go without being right in the thick of all the chaos. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel where you see actual locals going about their day, not just other tourists wandering around with maps. Parking was straightforward, which saved me the usual stress of circling blocks looking for a spot. The 8.7 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a few days – it’s the kind of place that gets the fundamentals right and then adds those little touches that make you think “oh, that’s nice” rather than “wow, they’re really trying hard.” I found myself actually relaxing instead of mentally cataloging everything that was slightly off. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. It’s solid, comfortable, and feels like someone actually cares about running a good hotel rather than just maximizing occupancy rates.

  • Esme from United Kingdom – 10 September 2024 (9/10)

Good communication with the host. Light and clean villa with excellent facilities, the bathrooms were excellent and the pool was checked regularly so we felt more comfortable. Also such a lovely viewpoint of Sveti Stefan from a church less than 20 minute walk away!

What could be improved: No complaints! Obviously it is up the mountain so a car or taxis are needed to get into budva itself and there were quite a few steps to a villa, not a problem just something to be aware of.

  • Kamal from United Kingdom – 30 August 2024 (9/10)

The views from the villa were stunning, facilities were excellent and we cannot fault the service. Have to mention the staff. They were very helpful and accommodating, nothing was a problem for them. Amazing

What could be improved: Loved it.

  • Tochi from United Kingdom – 20 August 2024 (9/10)

    Beautiful villa.

  • Hichem from United Arab Emirates – 8 August 2024 (8/10)

The villa was extremely clean with all needful amnesties as described.

What could be improved: No near supermarket to buy needful groceries, no deliveries available for food.
Need to buy all needful groceries in advance.

  • Lauren from United Kingdom – 16 June 2024 (9/10)

The house was super clean and modern. Very spacious as well with all bedrooms, bathrooms and living space plentiful. The staff were also very tentative and

What could be improved: The houses are located in the hillside so a car is required. There is only one small shop and petrol that is walking distance – however it is super hilly.

  • Mike from Montenegro – 25 March 2024 (9/10)

Good renovation, great view, everything is clean and prepared for a comfortable stay. Everyone is very friendly and helpful with any request.

What could be improved: Everything was perfect!

  • Stevan from United Kingdom – 23 August 2023 (9/10)

    Spacious, bright and airy.

What could be improved: Could do with more kitchen utensils.

  • Gunnar from Germany – 4 May 2023 (9/10)

Everything was extremely clean and with only 2 years nearly brandnew.
Very spacious layout: master bedroom with master bathroom downstairs, next to open kitchen, living room and additional bath. Upstairs 2 bigger rooms with 2 beds each, sharing a nice and big bathroom and some useful roof terrace.
One evening we had a problem with an upstairs window not closing correctly. A few minutes after the text message the house keeper arrived and fixed the problem temporary – the next day the „window master“ showed up and repaired to our full satisfaction. THIS is how good service should look like.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff – and oh – did I mention the huge fruit basket upon arrival….?

What could be improved: Absolutely nothing.

  • Reiz from Sweden – 31 August 2022 (9/10)

Great location up in the hills with an amazing view. Our Villa 14 was perfect for us six people who were travelling together. Everything was really top in the house and no noises during the evenings. The house had a barbecue and long table outside for 8 people to have a dinner. The pool is perfect when it comes to cool or after a hot day. Will definite coming back again.

What could be improved: Could have a bigger supermarket closer by. We did have a car so that was not a problem.

  • Emilie from United Kingdom – 21 August 2022 (9/10)

The villa was absolutely beautiful and immaculate. Although we hadn't booked a private pool we were lucky enough to be in Villa 1 which meant we were right next to the communal pool.

What could be improved: There was nothing not to like as everything was overcome but as feedback:
    – Let's guests know that water may stop occasionally so it's not a surprise.
    – Provide enough swimming towels for all guests (we had brought our own luckily) it would save the white towels being spoilt.
    – Provide enough dishwasher tablets for all days.
    – Provide some written info e.g where are the bins, what hours is the shop open at the bottom of the hill, nearest supermarket and good restaurants.
    – Oven trays and sharp knives etc are needed in the kitchen so people can self cater.
