The thing about Budva is that it can get absolutely mental during peak summer season, with tourists everywhere and prices through the roof. But Casa SERGIO feels like it exists in its own little bubble, away from the madness but still close enough that you’re not stuck taking taxis everywhere. The rooms have this clean, unfussy vibe – nothing revolutionary, but the beds are actually comfortable (I’m talking proper sleep, not that stiff hotel mattress nonsense), and the apartments give you enough space to spread out your stuff without tripping over your suitcase every five minutes. The air conditioning works properly too, which honestly becomes your best friend when those Montenegrin summers hit.

What I really appreciated was how the staff seemed to genuinely know the area – not just the obvious tourist spots everyone talks about, but the kind of local intel that actually matters. Like where to grab decent coffee in the morning without paying resort prices, or which beaches get crowded first (spoiler: avoid the main strip after 10 AM in July). The whole operation feels family-run in the best possible way – you get that personal touch without anyone hovering over you constantly asking if everything’s okay. Parking was surprisingly straightforward too, which is something you don’t fully appreciate until you’ve spent 20 minutes circling Budva’s old town looking for a spot that won’t cost you half your daily budget. The neighborhood itself is pretty quiet at night, at least the parts I wandered around – you might hear some distant music from the coastal clubs, but nothing that’ll keep you awake unless you’re an incredibly light sleeper. Check-in was smooth, no drama with key cards or confusing directions to your room. It’s the kind of place where everything just… works, you know? Not flashy, not Instagram-perfect, but solid and reliable in a way that makes you actually relax instead of worrying about what might go wrong next.
