You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from this place when I first booked it – I mean, three stars in Budva during peak season, and the price seemed almost too good to be true. But honestly, this little apartment completely surprised me in the best way possible.

The garden view is the real star here, and I’m not talking about some tiny patch of grass. You’re looking out at this genuinely peaceful green space that somehow manages to stay quiet even when the rest of Budva gets crazy busy (which, let’s be real, happens pretty much every night in summer). I’d sit out there with my morning coffee and actually forget I was just a few minutes’ walk from all the beach chaos. The apartment itself is nothing fancy – think clean, functional, with that slightly dated European charm that’s actually kind of endearing. The kitchen worked perfectly fine for making breakfast and storing leftovers from those massive Montenegrin portions you get at local restaurants. And the shower? Hot water every single time, which honestly isn’t something you can take for granted in this part of the world.

What really sold me on this place was how the owner seemed to actually care about getting the details right. Check-in was smooth – none of that awkward waiting around or trying to figure out confusing key systems. The Wi-Fi worked reliably (I was working remotely part of the time), and there were enough outlets in sensible places. Look, it’s not going to win any design awards, but everything just… worked. The bed was comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up with a sore back, the neighborhood stayed reasonably quiet at night despite being close to the action, and parking – well, that’s always a bit of a puzzle in Budva, but they actually gave me solid advice about where to find spots that wouldn’t break the bank. The location is pretty smart too. You’re close enough to walk to Slovenska Beach without it being a major expedition, but far enough from the main party strip that you can actually sleep. I found this great little bakery about two blocks away that does amazing burek – the kind of local spot you’d never find if you stayed in one of those big resort hotels. The whole area has this lived-in feel where actual Montenegrins go about their daily business alongside tourists, which I personally love. Is it perfect? Well, the bathroom could use some updating, and the air conditioning worked but wasn’t exactly whisper-quiet. But for what you’re paying and what you get – especially that surprisingly lovely garden view and the genuine comfort of the place – I’d definitely stay here again. It’s one of those finds that makes you feel like you discovered something real rather than just booking another generic room.
