Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about City Centre Getaway? It’s actually way quieter than you’d expect for being smack in the middle of Budva. I mean, you’re literally on Primorskog bataljona street – which sounds intimidating but it’s just this tree-lined avenue that locals use as a shortcut to the old town. The thing is, most tourists stick to the coastal promenade, so this spot feels like you’re in on a local secret.
The hotel itself is proper 3-star territory – nothing fancy, but honestly that works in its favor. The lobby has this lived-in feel with worn leather chairs that are actually comfortable (you know how hotel furniture usually looks better than it feels). Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, no upselling or forced small talk, just “here’s your key, breakfast ends at 10.” The rooms are what you’d call functionally cozy – clean white walls, decent mattresses, and those European windows that actually open all the way. Pro tip: if you’re a light sleeper, grab a room facing the courtyard side. The street-facing ones catch some early morning delivery trucks, though it’s nothing compared to the party noise you’d get closer to the beach clubs.
What really sold me on this place was the location math, if that makes sense. You’re about a 7-minute walk to Budva’s old town walls – I timed it because I’m nerdy like that – and maybe 12 minutes to the main beach if you don’t get distracted by the coffee shops along the way. There’s this little bakery called Pekara (super original name, I know) about two blocks down where locals grab their morning burek, and honestly their cheese pastries beat the hotel breakfast most days. The neighborhood has that authentic Montenegrin residential vibe during the day, then sort of comes alive in the evenings when people are heading out to dinner.
Here’s something the booking sites don’t tell you – parking is actually manageable here. Not free, but there’s usually street parking available, and the hotel staff knows which spots are cool to use overnight. During peak summer (July-August), you might need to circle the block once or twice, but it’s still way easier than anywhere closer to the marina. The 8.2 rating makes total sense when you factor in the price point – this isn’t luxury, but it’s solid, dependable, and run by people who seem to actually care about getting the basics right. The kind of place where you sleep well, start your day without stress, and don’t feel like you’re missing out on anything important.

Perfect apartment !! – Mitch from United States – March 21, 2023 (10/10)
Very nice and cozy Apartment, it feels like a luxorious experience. It has 3 beaches and many restaurants and bars close to the apartment.
What could be improved: The old town Budva is 3 minutes away. Clean and useful utilities.Nothing was bad. – Anonymous from United States – March 16, 2023 (10/10)
Apartment is very specious, with two nice bedrooms and a king size bed. Very nice hosts, helpful, air conditioning in the main room and a washing machine, a big plus. The the best part is the location. Everything was close to us.
Nagyon szuper szállás, kedves szállásadó – Mónika from Hungary – September 9, 2024 (9/10)
🙂Lep i pristojan smestaj blizu centra. – Ksenija from Serbia – January 4, 2025 (10/10)
Sve je bilo dobro.
Exceptional – Ivan from Ukraine – October 5, 2023 (10/10)

Fair – Marina from Germany – September 21, 2023 (5/10)
What could be improved: Fair – Sebastian from Poland – October 17, 2024 (5/10)
Zdecydowanie lokalizacja. Właścicielka jest miłą osobą. Jednak co do ogólnego stanu mieszkania mam duże zastrzeżenia.
What could be improved: Będę obiektywny. Przedstawiam fakty. Wonderful – Tamara from Serbia – July 13, 2024 (9/10)
