Como residence by InProperty

So I stumbled upon Como Residence by InProperty during my third trip to Budva, and honestly? It’s one of those places that grows on you. The address says Komoševina bb, which basically means you’re tucked away from the chaos of the Old Town – and trust me, that’s a good thing during peak summer when Budva turns into absolute madness.

First impression walking in was pretty solid for a 3-star spot. Nothing fancy, but you know what? Sometimes you don’t need marble lobbies and crystal chandeliers. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no upselling, no lengthy presentations about spa packages you’ll never use. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. I mean, you can still hear the distant hum of nightlife if you really listen, but it’s not like staying right on Slovenska Obala where the party literally never stops. The rooms are clean and functional – think modern apartment style rather than traditional hotel. The Wi-Fi actually works (shocking, I know, but you’d be surprised how many places in Montenegro still struggle with this), and the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing on your roof.

Here’s the thing about the location that took me a day to figure out – you’re about a 10-minute walk to the main beaches, which initially felt inconvenient. But then I realized this means you avoid the worst of the tourist stampede every morning, and you can actually find parking nearby without selling a kidney. The walk down to the coast is mostly downhill too, though coming back up after a long day at Mogren Beach definitely reminded me I should hit the gym more often. There’s a little bakery called Pekara Nada just a few minutes away that locals actually use – grab their burek in the morning, it’s ridiculously good and costs like 2 euros. The staff at Como Residence seem to genuinely live in the area, which means they’ll point you toward actual local spots instead of just tourist traps.

The 7.7 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it won’t disappoint either. I’ve stayed in flashier places in Budva that left me more frustrated than this straightforward approach. The value proposition works, especially if you’re planning to spend most of your time exploring the coast anyway. Just don’t expect a resort experience – this is more like having a reliable local friend who lends you their spare room. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need.
