Cozy 2BR Apartment in Budva Center
You know what?
You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place right in the heart of Budva, but this little apartment on I ulica honestly surprised me. The location is pretty much perfect if you actually want to experience the city – you’re literally a two-minute walk from the Old Town walls, and I mean literally, not that fake marketing literally. You can hear the morning coffee ritual happening at the cafés below, which sounds annoying but is actually kind of charming once you get used to it. The apartment itself feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a hotel, which I guess makes sense since it’s, well, an apartment. Two bedrooms that are actually spacious enough to unpack properly (rare in Budva’s center, trust me), and the kitchen has everything you need if you want to grab some of that amazing local cheese from the market and make your own breakfast.
Here’s the thing about staying right on I ulica – you’re in the thick of everything, but the building is set back just enough that you’re not dealing with the absolute chaos of the main pedestrian areas. I stayed here in July, which is peak madness season, and while you definitely know there’s a party happening nearby, it’s not like having a nightclub in your living room. The host was super responsive, which matters when you’re trying to figure out Montenegro’s quirky check-in customs, and honestly gave better restaurant recommendations than most guidebooks. They steered me toward this tiny place behind the post office that serves the best ćevapi I had during my entire Balkans trip – the kind of local intel that actually makes a difference.
What really sold me on this place, though, was how it felt after a long day of exploring. Budva can be overwhelming with all the beaches and history and frankly aggressive restaurant hosts trying to drag you into their terraces, but coming back to this apartment felt like retreating to your own little corner of the city. The WiFi actually works (crucial for those inevitable “let me just check Google Maps one more time” moments), there’s decent water pressure in the shower, and – this might sound weird but hear me out – the windows open properly, which is amazing when you want that Mediterranean breeze without the AC running all night. It’s got that perfect rating for a reason, and I’m usually pretty skeptical of perfect ratings. Sometimes a place just gets all the basics right without trying to be fancy about it.
Early hotels booking in Budva requires advance planning during peak summer seasons when visitors flock to enjoy the city’s renowned beaches and vibrant nightlife.
