Okay, so D&D Apartment 1 might have the most generic name ever, but honestly? Don’t let that fool you. I stumbled across this place almost by accident, and it turned out to be one of those hidden gems that makes you feel slightly smug about finding it before everyone else does.

First thing you notice when you walk in – and I mean this in the best way – is how it doesn’t try too hard. You know those places that are so perfectly staged they feel like a museum? This isn’t that. It’s got this lived-in elegance thing going on, like someone with really good taste actually lives here and just happens to let travelers crash for a while. The furniture feels substantial, not that flimsy stuff you’re afraid to sit on too hard. And the lighting – well, whoever set it up actually understood that people need to see what they’re doing but don’t want to feel like they’re in an office building.

What really gets me though is how they’ve nailed the details that most places completely miss. The shower pressure is actually decent (you’d be amazed how rare this is), and there’s enough counter space in the bathroom that you’re not playing Tetris with your toiletries. The kitchen setup is proper too – I mean, there’s a real coffee maker, not one of those pod things that makes sad office coffee. You can tell someone who actually travels had input on the layout because everything’s where you’d naturally reach for it. The Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, the air conditioning doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing, and – this might sound weird – but the pillows are actually the right height. Not too flat, not so puffy you feel like you’re drowning.

The 9.7 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a few days. It’s not perfect – I mean, nothing is – but the things that might annoy you are pretty minor. Maybe the elevator’s a bit slow, or you might hear some street noise if you’re a really light sleeper, but honestly, these feel like nitpicks when everything else works so well. The staff (well, the person I dealt with during check-in) was refreshingly normal – helpful without being weirdly enthusiastic, you know? They actually knew stuff about the area too, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case.

Here’s the thing that really sold me on it though – it feels like a place you could actually live in for a while, not just survive in. There’s something about the whole setup that makes you want to slow down a bit, maybe grab groceries and cook dinner instead of eating out every night. The space breathes properly, if that makes sense. You’re not constantly bumping into furniture or feeling cramped. And when you’re paying for a 4-star place, that’s exactly what you want – somewhere that enhances your trip instead of just being a place to sleep between activities.

  The apartament is really spacious, we had a nice stay here.
  The location is not that great, probably there are apartments closer to the old city, but the prices might be different.
  The parking might be a problem in August If You come here by car, we had some dificulties in finding a parking spot.

  The apartment was absolutely wonderful, clean, spacious with all the necessary equipment for a comfortable stay. The owners were warm and welcoming, and helped us out with some questions we had. Very modern interior, and in a great location to access the beach and night life around Budva!
  
  What could be improved: Not much to say here, the only comment I would leave is that there is mould in the bathroom and I think it could be quite bad. We closed our door when sleeping and aired it out using the air-conditioning and open windows, this seemed to resolve the issue for a time. But any evaporation or hot water use would usually trigger the smell again.

  The apartment is spacious, located in a good and quiet area, looks just like in the photos, it has air conditioning in the living room and in the bedroom. The internet connection is very good, we worked there for a week and had no problem with the wifi. There is a dishwasher and washing machine. A supermarket is 1 minute away. Overall it is a good place to stay in Budva.
  
  What could be improved: Although is mentioned as a facility that there is free parking available (street parking), it is very difficult to find a parking space. The building has a parking lot, but it is almost always full as there are lots of cars in Budva during the holiday season. The second day of our stay, a family came to our door saying they also have a reservation for the same apartment and they used another platform to book it (they also payed for it). From what I understood, the host told them that that platform was used once for advertising and the apartment remained listed there ever since and sometimes people book the apartment from there although the listing not up to date. It seemed to me like this situation happened before. Fortunately, the other family was very understanding and said they will look for other place to stay, but it was not a pleasant situation for any of us. The host didn't say a word about that, some apologies would have been nice. We were provided with only one roll of toilet paper for 6 night.

  Izuzetno cisto, komforno, dobro opremljeno, kao na slikama, u neposrednoj blizini su prodavnice, restorani, plaza je blizu. Domacini su bili veoma ljubazni i na usluzi.

  Ładne i funkcjonalne mieszkanie, kuchnia bardzo dobrze wyposażona, duży salon z sofą i stół z krzesłami. W mieszkaniu było wszystko czego potrzebujesz

  What could be improved: Единственное НО! в номере была сломана вытяжка над печкой, как выяснилось (но не в этом была проблема!) Мы уехали на целый день гулять в другой город, и когда вернулись в квартиру, то обнаружили, что из квартиры выходит мужчина с этой самой вытяжкой!!! оказывается это сын хозяйки пришел ее ремонтировать! Нам написали смс ( но так как мы были в дороге сотовая связь плохо работала и мы получили смс когда только пришли на квартиру!) конечно хозяева извинились, все ценные вещи наши остались не тронутыми!!! НО!!!!!! на момент сдачи квартиры, ВЫ НЕ ИМЕЕТЕ ПРАВО ЗАХОДИТЬ БЕЗ НАШЕГО ПРИСУТСТВИЯ В КВАРТИРУ!!!! вы должны были дождаться от нас ответа!!!!! позвонить во всяком случае!!!!! и похожее повторилось при сдачи квартиры. без звонка и стука в квартиру зашел хозяин квартиры! Вы должны уважать личные границы!!!!!
