Location-wise, you’re close enough to everything that matters without being right in the chaos of the Old Town. I could walk to the main beach area in about ten minutes, maybe fifteen if I stopped for coffee along the way. There’s this little bakery nearby that does amazing burek – the kind of local spot you’d never find if you stayed at one of those big resort complexes up the hill. Parking was surprisingly manageable too, which anyone who’s driven around Budva in summer will tell you is basically a miracle. The family running the place is genuinely helpful without being overbearing – they gave me actual useful recommendations, not just the touristy stuff everyone suggests. When my friend’s flight got delayed and she couldn’t check in until nearly midnight, they waited up for her without making a big deal about it.

What really won me over was how the whole experience just felt… normal, I guess? Like staying at a friend’s place rather than a hotel. The other guests were mostly families with kids who’d play quietly in the courtyard in the evenings, or couples like us just wanting a comfortable base for exploring the coast. It’s definitely not luxury – the shower could use better water pressure and the WiFi gets a bit spotty during peak hours – but for the price and that solid 8.0 rating, it delivers exactly what it promises. If you’re the type who needs a spa and room service, this isn’t your place. But if you want clean, comfortable apartments with actual character in a city that can sometimes feel overrun with generic accommodations, Dora Family Apartments gets it right. I’d absolutely stay here again, especially if I was traveling with family or planning a longer trip where having a proper kitchen makes all the difference.
