The Experience

E3 Apartment

Honestly, when I first walked into E3 Apartment, I wasn't expecting much from what looked like just another converted building in Budva.

Honestly, when I first walked into E3 Apartment, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like just another converted building in Budva. But you know what? This place completely surprised me. It’s tucked inside these Old Bakery Residences on Prve Proleterske – and yeah, that’s a mouthful, but locals just call it the old bakery area. The building itself has this interesting industrial-meets-residential vibe that actually works really well.

The apartment sits on the second floor (or “sprat 2” as they say here), and I mean, the space is genuinely well thought out. You can tell someone actually lives in Montenegro and knows what travelers need – there’s proper blackout curtains because summer mornings here are bright, the kitchen has real cooking equipment not just a hot plate, and honestly, the Wi-Fi actually works consistently. The whole setup feels more like staying at a friend’s place than some sterile hotel room. What really got me though was how quiet it stays at night. Budva can get pretty rowdy during peak season, but this spot is just far enough from the main party strips that you can actually sleep. I was there in July – peak chaos time – and never had issues with noise.

Location-wise, it’s sort of perfect if you know how to navigate Budva. You’re about a 10-minute walk to the Old Town, maybe 15 to the main beaches, but here’s the thing everyone misses – you’re actually closer to where locals shop and eat. There’s this little market just around the corner that has way better prices than anything near the tourist center, and honestly, some of the best burek I had in Montenegro. The area feels lived-in, you know? Real Montenegrins going about their day, kids playing in the small courtyards. It’s refreshing after dealing with all the tourist-focused stuff closer to the water. Parking can be a bit tricky – it’s street parking mostly – but that’s pretty standard for this part of Budva. Just plan to walk a block or two with your luggage. The host was actually super helpful about timing check-ins to avoid the afternoon traffic mess that happens when everyone’s trying to get to the beaches. Small details like that make a difference when you’re dealing with narrow streets and summer crowds.
