You know what caught me off guard about Evropa Lux Apartments? The name sounds way fancier than it actually is – and I mean that in the best possible way. This place sits right on Alekse Šantića street, which honestly took me forever to pronounce correctly, but it’s actually perfectly positioned about a 7-minute walk from Budva’s Old Town. Not close enough to hear the party crowds stumbling home at 3 AM (trust me, you’ll appreciate this), but close enough that you’re not stuck taking expensive taxis everywhere.

The apartments themselves feel like someone’s well-maintained European flat rather than a sterile hotel room. I stayed in a one-bedroom unit that had this quirky little balcony overlooking the street – nothing spectacular view-wise, but perfect for morning coffee while watching the locals head to work. The kitchen actually works, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many “apartment hotels” have those sad little kitchenettes with one burner that barely heats water. Here you can actually cook if you want to save some money, and there’s a decent-sized Voli supermarket about three blocks down toward the main road. The Wi-Fi was solid throughout my stay, which matters when you’re trying to upload those sunset photos from Sveti Nikola island.

What really sold me on this place was how it handles the practical stuff that other reviews never mention. Parking is included – and in Budva during summer, that’s basically gold. The woman who handled check-in (I think she was the owner’s daughter?) gave me this incredibly detailed rundown of the best beach spots depending on whether I wanted party vibes or somewhere quiet to actually read a book. She was right about everything, including her warning that Slovenska Plaza gets absolutely packed after 11 AM in July. The building itself is nothing fancy – standard Mediterranean apartment block from maybe the ’90s – but everything works properly. Hot water was consistent, the AC kept up even during that brutal heat wave, and honestly, the beds were more comfortable than some four-star places I’ve stayed. Sure, you can hear some street noise during the day, but by Budva standards it’s pretty quiet. Would I stay here again? Absolutely, especially for the price point. It’s that sweet spot where you get your own space, helpful local knowledge, and you’re not paying resort prices for stuff you don’t actually need.
