Look, I’ll be straight with you about Fontana M&S Luxury Apartment – the name is a bit of a mouthful, but honestly, this place surprised me in the best way. When I first pulled up to the Babilonija area (and yes, finding the exact entrance on Mediteranska 4 took me a hot minute because GPS gets a little wonky in that part of Budva), I wasn’t expecting much from what’s technically listed as a 3-star property. But you know what? Sometimes the star system doesn’t tell the whole story.

The apartment itself feels way more upscale than you’d expect – I mean, the finishes are actually nice, not that fake-luxury stuff you sometimes get. The kitchen has proper appliances that work, which honestly is half the battle in Montenegro rentals. What really got me though was how quiet it stays, even during Budva’s crazy summer season. You’re close enough to walk to the Old Town without breaking a sweat (maybe 8-10 minutes if you’re not rushing), but far enough from the main party strip that you can actually sleep at night. The location is sort of perfect for people who want to experience Budva but don’t need to be right in the thick of the chaos – trust me, there’s plenty of chaos if you want it.

I stayed there during shoulder season in late September, and the whole area felt like a little oasis. There’s decent parking nearby, which anyone who’s tried to park in central Budva will tell you is basically winning the lottery. The hosts were responsive without being hovering, and check-in was smooth – none of that “meet me at this random cafe with cash” situation you sometimes get with apartment rentals. What struck me most was how the place feels lived-in rather than sterile, if that makes sense. Like someone actually thought about what travelers need rather than just cramming in the cheapest furniture possible. The 9.9 rating isn’t just inflated reviews from friends and family – people genuinely seem to love staying here, and after spending a week there myself, I get it. It’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’re getting more than you paid for, which honestly doesn’t happen that often anymore.

  Excellent location two to three minutes walk from the old town, very comfortable and cozy apartment. Spacious two bedrooms and comfortable large beds in both rooms. The apartment has two terraces. The living room is large and comfortable to use, the kitchen is well equipped. Everything is excellent, the building is new. The owner is kind and very pleasant.

  Tiene dos habitaciones con dos camas muy grandes.
  
  What could be improved: Nosotras íbamos 6 personas y dos tuvieron que dormir en el sofá cama, el cual tenía un colchón tan fino que se clavaban las maderas a la hora de dormir. Es lo único malo que destacaría.
