You know what struck me first about Fontana Residence Budva? The name actually makes sense once you’re there – there’s this lovely little fountain feature near the entrance that you hear before you see it, which honestly sets a pretty calming tone after dealing with Budva’s summer crowds. I mean, this place sits right in that sweet spot where you’re close enough to everything that matters but far enough from the main strip that you’re not dealing with drunk tourists stumbling past your window at 3 AM.

The whole setup feels more like staying at a friend’s well-appointed apartment than a typical hotel, which explains why they call it a “residence.” The staff actually remembers your name after day one – not in that forced, corporate way, but genuinely. They’ll tell you things like which bakery opens earliest if you’re trying to beat the beach crowds, or that the good gelato place (not the touristy one everyone goes to) is tucked away behind the old church. The rooms themselves have this lived-in quality that’s hard to fake – proper blackout curtains that actually work, decent water pressure, and thank god, air conditioning that doesn’t sound like a helicopter landing. Small thing, but the balconies face away from the main road, so you get these glimpses of the Adriatic without the constant hum of scooters.

What really sells this place though is how it handles the practical stuff that can make or break a Budva stay. Parking – which is honestly a nightmare in this town during peak season – is sorted without you having to circle blocks looking for a spot. The location puts you within walking distance of both the medieval old town and the newer beach areas, but you’re not paying those premium old town prices or dealing with that particular brand of chaos. The building itself has character without being fussy about it – you can tell someone put thought into the details rather than just slapping together another cookie-cutter tourist accommodation. I noticed they’ve got this nice common area that doesn’t feel forced, where people actually hang out in the evenings rather than just rushing through to their rooms. Honestly, with a 9.3 rating, I was expecting to find some catch or hidden downside, but after spending time there… well, sometimes places just get the fundamentals right and let everything else flow from that.

Early hotels booking in Budva requires advance planning during peak summer seasons when visitors flock to enjoy the city’s renowned beaches and vibrant nightlife.

  Everything was like in the description: picturesque sea view was amazing on the balcony. The apartment is modern, new, luxuriously equipped, and capacious for a family. Is is run in cooperation with the hotel in the lower part of the building, so one feels as if one were placed in a hotel. Is is also ideal for a holiday if one needs to bring one's family to stay for a few days – just like in a modern apartment. The building is surrounded by many likewise modern and luxurious apartment buildings, hotels, restaurants and bars, and just a few steps away from the coastal line and old town. So everything is convenient.
  
  What could be improved: Well, nothing practically, but it would be great if some tea, coffee and refreshments were provided upon arrival – it's nothing big, but could make one feel more at home.

  We stayed in a 2 bed modern apartment, perfect for a family. Lovely view of harbour. Great restaurant. Staff really friendly and helpful.

  The apartment was clean and neat. There is an amazing view of the sea; the beach is near the building. The furniture is completely new and modern.
  
  What could be improved: There was no tea, coffee, or water. I believe these are necessary in the apartment, especially for this price.
  
  Parking is not included with the apartment, and we had to park in the nearby shopping center for 30 euros per night (by the way, if you're going to park at the same place, pay for the parking in advance; it will be cheaper). However, we received a 20-euro compensation for the parking.
  
  The manager who met us didn't know English. Frankly, it's not a big deal, but it might be the reason for our misunderstanding. We were sure that we could check out until 13:00. However, she messaged us at 11:00 and rudely told us that we had to leave the apartment. The manager shouldn't communicate with clients in that manner
