Hotel Description
Look, I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels over the years, but Garni Hotel Larimar caught me off guard in the best possible way. When you see a 4-star rating, you sort of expect the usual business hotel vibe – decent but forgettable, you know? But this place actually has character. The moment I walked through the front doors, there was this immediate sense that someone really cares about the details here. The lobby isn’t trying too hard to impress, but everything feels deliberate and warm. I mean, even the lighting hits just right – not those harsh fluorescents that make you look like you’re in a hospital.
What really gets me about Larimar is how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between professional service and genuine hospitality. The staff doesn’t hover, but they’re there when you need them, and – here’s the thing that honestly surprised me – they actually remember your name after the first day. The rooms have this clean, understated elegance that photographs well (trust me, I took way too many), but more importantly, they’re actually comfortable to live in for a few days. The beds are properly firm, the shower pressure is excellent (why is this so rare?), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re playing Tetris with your luggage. I stayed during what seemed like a busy period, but the place never felt chaotic or overwhelmed.
Here’s what really sold me though – that 9.2 rating isn’t just numbers on a screen. You can feel it in the small things that most places overlook. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the building (shocking, I know), housekeeping is thorough without being intrusive, and the whole place has this quiet confidence about it. It’s not flashy or trying to be the hippest spot in town, but it delivers on every single thing you actually care about when you’re traveling. Whether you’re there for business or just exploring, Larimar feels like a place that gets what travelers really need – reliability without the sterile corporate feel, comfort without the inflated prices, and service that feels genuine rather than scripted. Honestly, it’s the kind of hotel that makes you slightly protective of it, like you don’t want too many people to discover it and change what makes it special.
Exploring Budva offers visitors an unforgettable journey through Montenegro’s coastal jewel, from its ancient citadel to its pristine beaches and lively summer atmosphere.

This is a rare 10 from me, not because its the best hotel I have stayed in, but for how I felt about it. A new hotel with a very clean room with a small but functional kitchen area. The staff are great, very genuine and happy to help. My room was not advertised with a sea view but had a nice partial one. The hotel is on a hill. however the hotel offers a shuttle service 3 times a day (I didn't use it). Location was a short walk to a nearby beach. Budva old town might need a taxi, however I walked serval times. Has onsite washing machines for laundry, just 5 euros.
What could be improved: Honestly sure, there were small things like any hotel that could be improved. But for nothing significant enough to write about. If this hotel was more centrally located it would be double the price for sure.Haim from Israel – 8 September 2024 (9/10)
The staff are very kind.
The room was clean, the breakfast was OK.
What could be improved: Need transportation to reach the city center and beachesMm468 from Poland – 7 September 2024 (9/10)
New, clean hotel located in a quiet place next to other hotels. There is a beautiful view of the sea from the balcony. The room was spacious, clean and modernly decorated. There are plenty of shelves and space in the bathroom for toiletries. Wifi works well (interestingly on the balcony it no longer works). The hotel has an elevator, so it is convenient with luggage. Big plus for clean towels for the beach every day. You can park your car under the hotel (free of charge) or in the hotel's parking lot under the roof (charged 8 euros per day). There are 2 supermarkets nearby.
What could be improved: The hotel is close to the beach (Becici), but the approach is really steep. On the plus side, there are transfers from the beach 3 times a day if it will be a challenge for someone to go uphill. The drive up to the hotel is also steep (even by Montenegrin standards). An automatic transmission comes in handy.
The weak point of the hotel is the breakfasts. They are simple, there is not much choice and the food is not at a high level. These are not breakfasts at the level of a four-star hotel. It is worth improving this issue, because it lowers the rating of the stay.Anne-maria from Finland – 27 August 2024 (10/10)
Apartment hotel was perfect in every way possible! Friendly staff helping you with any questions, clean room with all the facilities needed. Room is exactly like in the photos. I was traveling alone but these rooms are perfect for families for sure! Amazing view to the see. There is a steep road up to the hotel but friendly staff picks you up by car three times a day and there are mini markets near for urgent needs. Couple of restaurants near by and the hotel isn't far from the beach either.

We really enjoyed our holidays in Becici thanks to this wonderful hotel! I’d like to thank the hotel’s managers, Yuliya, Aleksandr and their young assistants for all the support they provided. The Larimar hotel is newly built and pleasantly located in a quiet place, so there are no noises from the highway. Spacious terrace outlooking a hill side where you can breathe fresh mountains air in the evening. Still, it’s just a 20-minutes walk down the hill to the beach. And they provide transfer back to the hotel 3 times a day in a very nice mini-bus, and even from the hotel to the beach if you come at the right time. The hosts do their best to make their guests feel comfortable at every step and their kind attitude was really felt. You get all the services like in a large 4-star hotel but also, very personal care like in a guest house. We would definitely want to stay here again on our next holidays in Becici!
What could be improved: Be careful walking up and down the hill because the traffic is so intense – cars, motorbikes speeding.
If you book the room with the “second floor”, note that there’s very little space between the beds and the ceiling – you can basically only lie down. And the stairs are very steep. But it was all right for us.
I would ask the cleaning lady a few questions – she didn’t bring new soap bars so I had to ask for that, and on the last day she didn’t bring toilet paper. However, these were minor issues and not a problem for us at all.Alexandra from United Kingdom – 3 August 2024 (10/10)
My mom and I recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful experience. The hotel is very clean, comfortable, and feels brand new, with excellent facilities and stunning views.
Hosts Julia and Alexandr were incredibly helpful, providing us with valuable advice and making our stay even more enjoyable. The beach is about a 15-minute walk away, and there are plenty of small markets nearby. Although the hotel is situated on a hill, it wasn’t a problem for me or my mom. Plus, the hotel offers a convenient transfer from the beach three times a day, which was a great bonus.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant and comfortable stay.
