Look, I’ll be straight with you about Golden Flower Apartments – this place surprised me in the best way possible. When I first pulled up to Sremskog Fronta (which, honestly, sounds more intimidating than it is), I wasn’t sure what to expect from a 4-star spot in what felt like a quieter part of Budva. But you know what? Sometimes the places that don’t scream for attention end up being exactly what you need.

The thing about this location is that it’s just far enough from the Old Town chaos to actually get some sleep, but close enough that you’re not stuck taking taxis everywhere. I mean, you can walk to Slovenska Beach in about ten minutes – maybe fifteen if you’re the type who stops for coffee along the way (which, let’s be honest, you should be in Montenegro). The apartments themselves are… well, they’re actually apartments, not those cramped hotel rooms where you’re living out of a suitcase on the floor. I had a proper kitchen, which was clutch for those mornings when I wanted real coffee instead of whatever they were serving at the tourist spots. The balcony situation is legit too – I could see glimpses of the Adriatic between the buildings, and there’s something about having your morning coffee while listening to the distant sound of waves that just works.

What really sold me on this place was the attention to detail that you don’t always get, even at higher-rated spots. The Wi-Fi actually worked (shocking, I know), the air conditioning didn’t sound like a helicopter landing, and – this might sound silly – but the shower had proper water pressure. You don’t realize how much you miss a decent shower until you’ve spent a week somewhere with that sad trickle situation. The staff seemed to genuinely care about the place too, not just going through the motions. When I had questions about getting to Sveti Stefan, they didn’t just point me toward the tour companies – they actually explained the local bus situation and mentioned the best time to avoid crowds. That 9.6 rating isn’t just people being generous; this place delivers on the small stuff that makes a trip memorable. If you’re planning to explore beyond Budva’s main strip – and you absolutely should – Golden Flower gives you a solid home base without the tourist tax prices of staying right in the thick of things.
