You know what? GOLDPALMA Apartment in Budva surprised me more than I expected. I’ll be honest – when I first saw it was a 3-star place, I wasn’t expecting much, but this spot actually gets it right in ways that matter. The building itself has this clean, modern feel without trying too hard to be fancy, and honestly, that works perfectly for Budva where you’re probably spending most of your time exploring the old town or hitting the beaches anyway.

The apartments themselves are really well thought out – I mean, they’ve got proper kitchenettes that you’d actually want to use (not those tiny hotel coffee makers that barely work), and the beds are comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d slept on concrete. The bathrooms are spotless, which… let’s just say isn’t always a given in this price range along the Montenegrin coast. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night – Budva can get pretty lively during summer, but the way this place is positioned, you get your sleep without missing out on being close to everything. The air conditioning actually works too, which becomes crucial during those sticky July and August nights when the Adriatic breeze just isn’t cutting it.

Here’s the thing about staying here – you’re walking distance from Budva’s old town (maybe 10 minutes if you’re taking your time), but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the crowds of tourists stumbling around at 2 AM. I found myself grabbing groceries at the local markets and making breakfast in the apartment, then heading out to explore places like Sveti Stefan or taking day trips up to Lovćen National Park. The staff seems to actually know the area well – they pointed me toward this little beach spot that wasn’t packed with tour groups, and gave me solid advice about avoiding the worst traffic when heading toward Kotor. The 8.0 rating makes sense to me because it’s one of those places that doesn’t promise you the moon, but delivers on everything it does promise. It’s clean, comfortable, reasonably priced, and positioned well for exploring Montenegro’s coast without breaking the bank on accommodation.

  What could be improved: Очень шумно по вечерам. Под окнами грязно, бросают мусор. И посетители ночных клубов справляют малую нужду прямо вам под окна. мы просто сбежали из этой квартиры. Хозяин обещал вернуть деньги за оставшиеся ночи, но в итоге просто не брал трубку.
