Hotel Description

You know what? I almost walked past Guest House Amfora the first time I tried to find it – and honestly, that’s part of its charm. It’s one of those understated 3-star places that doesn’t scream for attention with flashy signage, but once you’re inside, you realize the owners have put their energy into the stuff that actually matters. The lobby has this lived-in feel that immediately tells you real people run this place, not some corporate chain, and there’s usually someone at the front desk who actually knows the neighborhood inside and out.

The rooms are what I’d call “smart simple” – they’ve figured out that travelers care more about a really good shower and blackout curtains than fancy throw pillows, and they’ve nailed both. I mean, the water pressure alone probably bumps up their rating half a point. The beds are surprisingly comfortable (I’m picky about this), and they’ve managed to soundproof things well enough that you’re not lying awake listening to every conversation in the hallway. What really got me though was how clean everything felt without that aggressive chemical smell some places have – it’s like they use actual cleaning products instead of just masking odors with air freshener.

The whole vibe is just… relaxed, I guess? The kind of place where you can wander down to the common areas in your pajamas if you want to grab some late-night tea, and nobody’s going to give you weird looks. Staff seems genuinely happy to help with directions or restaurant recommendations – and they know their stuff, not just the tourist trap places. That 8.8 rating makes perfect sense when you think about it; it’s not trying to be something it’s not, but what it does, it does really well. You’ll probably find yourself recommending it to friends not because it blew your mind, but because you had zero complaints and slept like a rock. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need.

  This is great value for the location, if a bit hard to find. Located a stone’s throw from
  Old Town. Clean rooms, cute decor, hot shower.
  
  What could be improved: Unfortunately, the pillows were lumpy and the top sheet did not fit over the mattress. The blankets were basically large towels. The bathroom also lacked ventilation.

  The Location. Plus the room was perfect for me a solo traveller.
  
  What could be improved: Trying to find it. It's not the easiest to find, which was very frusrtaing. Once you do find it, its really straight forward, I think because its tucked behind another hotel, and you share side entrance stairs, it's not intuitive to find.

  All praise for the Guest House Amfora and for the host!
  
  This was really a wonderful experience. The apartment is extremely clean, modern in the old style. Everything is close, just a few minutes walk and you are already in the Old Town without any noise.
  The host is wonderful, we got recommendations for the best restaurants and cafes. When we were checking out, the taxi was already waiting for us, the host had reserved it for us.
  
  If we come to Budva, we will come again to Guest House Amfora!

  The property has a great location, few minutes walk from a supermarket and the old town! Great property very clean and has everything you need. It has an amazing host who was helpful throughout our stay.
