So I stumbled across Guest House Garden during one of those frantic late-night booking sessions, and honestly? Best accidental find in Budva. The place sits on Jadranski put β which, if you know Montenegro at all, means you’re basically on the coastal road that hugs the Adriatic. Not right in the chaos of Old Town, but close enough that you can hear the faint buzz of nightlife without wanting to throw a pillow at the wall at 2 AM.
The whole setup feels like someone’s aunt decided to turn her house into a guesthouse and actually knew what she was doing. I mean, it’s got this relaxed garden vibe (hence the name, obviously) where you can sit with your morning coffee and not feel like you’re in some sterile hotel lobby. The rooms are simple but clean β that solid 3-star territory where everything works and nothing’s fancy, but you know what? Sometimes that’s exactly what you want. The owner actually remembers your name, which sounds small but makes such a difference when you’re asking about the best time to catch the bus to Kotor or where to find decent seafood that won’t cost you a week’s salary.
What really sold me was the location β you’re maybe a 10-minute walk to Slovenska Beach, which gets crazy packed in July and August, but in shoulder season it’s perfect. The grocery store is right there when you need water or those little Balkan snacks, and there’s this bakery down the street that does these cheese burek things that’ll ruin your diet but completely make your day. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle during peak summer (honestly, everything in Budva is), but the family running the place will point you toward spots locals use. The 8.5 rating makes total sense β it’s not trying to be something it isn’t, just doing the basics really well with that personal touch you can’t fake. If you’re looking for a pool and room service, keep scrolling. But if you want a clean, comfortable base where someone might actually give you directions to the secret beach spots… yeah, this works.

Good Friendly welcome. Great local and value for money for an overnight to explore Budva, Oldtown
Good What could be improved: While the accommodation itself was clean and comfortable, I was disappointed with the location details provided. The advertised location was misleading, as the actual property is an additional 8-minute walk from the pinned address.
This caused some inconvenience, especially when carrying luggage and planning activities based on the initially provided location. Itβs essential for the host to update the listing with the correct address to avoid future confusion for guests.
That said, the overall stay was pleasant, and the staff was friendly. However, transparency regarding the location is crucial for a better guest experience.
Great stay Very convenient place and great hosts! Nice views and comfy beds. Would highly recommend
What could be improved: Nothing
Exceptional Nice apartment
Clean room with a Supportive host The place was very clean and the host was also very supportive.
What could be improved: The place was a bit far from Budva bus stand but it's very close to the beach with an excellent view. So it's okay, not a big deal.
GOOD APARTMENTπ‘ The studio apartment has a good view of Budva Old town from its balcony. It's just 15 minutes walk from old town. The room was clean with enough equipments we needed. They have a laundry, but will charge extra. The room was air conditioned.
What could be improved: Nothing much. We were comfortable with the room.
Exceptional The best apartment in Budva with breathtaking view from the balcony and a super nice and helpful host.
Wonderful Close but not in the centre of Budwa.
Very clean, nice hostess, the view is amazing, very quiet and nice breeze. Facilities as market are close.
If you are disabled person you will find it hard to step up with bags, no elevator.
What could be improved: That we had to leave π
Would recommend The host are the best. Extremely helpful and nice. To get to the location, you have a lot of stairs :)) but itβs something specifically for Montenegro , the host helped us with a shortcut. The view is beautiful . You have a safe parking place.
What could be improved: The room had a smell, but after opening the windows, was fine.
Exceptional!super nice people and amazing room! so nice and friendly!
