It’s this unassuming place tucked into Becici that honestly punches way above its 3-star rating – and that 8.9 score makes total sense once you’ve stayed there. I mean, you’re not getting marble lobbies or concierge service, but there’s something genuinely warm about how the family runs this place that bigger hotels just can’t replicate.

The rooms are clean and comfortable in that “your Croatian aunt’s guest room” kind of way – simple furniture, decent beds, and windows that actually open to let in that Mediterranean breeze. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, even though you’re close enough to the main Becici action that you can walk to those beachfront restaurants without breaking a sweat. The apartments are particularly smart if you’re staying more than a couple nights because having a little kitchenette means you can grab fresh produce from the local market and make breakfast without dropping 15 euros on hotel coffee every morning.

Here’s the thing about this part of Becici – it’s got that sweet spot location where you feel like you’re in a neighborhood rather than a tourist bubble, but the beach is still just a few minutes’ walk downhill. The family who runs Mia actually knows the area inside and out, so they’ll point you toward the less crowded sections of beach or tell you which konoba serves the best grilled fish without the markup. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle during peak summer months (honestly, that’s true anywhere along this coast), but they’ve got spots sorted for guests, which saves you from circling around looking for street parking. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no lengthy forms or upselling, just genuine hospitality from people who seem to actually care whether you enjoy your stay. Sure, it’s not fancy, but sometimes you just want a clean, comfortable base where you can crash after long days exploring Budva’s old town or hiking up to those viewpoints everyone posts on Instagram.

  Fantastic location a short walk to the beach and right by the bus stop into Budva. Check-in was easy with a nice girl meeting me and letting me in. The Aircon kept the room nice and cool and having a balcony that got the morning sun was lovely! Overall great value for money.
  
  What could be improved: A couple of small improvements could be made – I think some proper curtains should be hung up to block out the sun in the morning as the room gets extremely bright making it hard to sleep. I think the bedding could be improved a bit (a mattress topper as I could see the mattress through the fitted sheet and perhaps a bed sheet rather than the towel material blanket I was provided). And finally I'd recommend providing bath towels as well as hand towels. But these are fairly minor things and I had a very comfortable stay.
