You know what surprised me about Guest House Plima 2? It’s one of those places that doesn’t look like much from the outside, but once you’re settled in, you realize the owners actually get what travelers need. I mean, when you’re walking down Prvomajska Street looking for it, you might second-guess yourself – it’s tucked into this residential area that feels more like where locals live than where tourists usually stay, which honestly turned out to be a huge plus.
The thing is, most people think they need to be right in Budva’s Old Town to have a good time, but Plima 2 sits in this sweet spot where you can actually sleep at night (trust me on this one – I’ve stayed right in the center before and the party noise is brutal). You’re maybe a 10-minute walk from all the action, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with drunk tourists stumbling past your window at 3 AM. The family running the place has this laid-back approach that I really appreciated – check-in was smooth, they actually remembered my name, and when I needed directions to that little bakery everyone talks about (you know, the one near the market), they drew me a proper map instead of just pointing vaguely down the street.
What really sold me was the attention to small stuff that bigger hotels always mess up. The shower had actual water pressure – not always a given in Montenegro, honestly – and the room stayed cool even during those sweltering July afternoons when the whole coast feels like an oven. There’s parking right there, which if you’ve ever tried to find a spot near Budva’s center in summer, you’ll know is basically priceless. The whole place has this homey feel without being overly fussy about it. I actually found myself hanging out on the terrace in the evenings with other guests, something that never happens at those big resort chains where everyone just disappears into their rooms. Sure, it’s not going to win any design awards – the furniture’s pretty basic and the WiFi gets a bit spotty during peak hours – but sometimes you just want a clean, comfortable base where the people are genuinely friendly and you don’t feel like you’re being nickel-and-dimed for everything. That 9-star rating they’ve got makes total sense once you realize they’re not trying to be something they’re not, they’re just really good at being exactly what a traveler actually needs.

The Host is perfect. The place is neat and clean. Recommended. The Host is perfect. The place is neat and clean. Recommended.
The host can not speak English but can communicate, if there is need, they can call someone knows English
What could be improved: nothing
Exceptional The lady who greeted us couldn’t have been more helpful
Super location with a caring touch The host was really nice and welcoming. The guests from the room we initially booked decided to extend their stay so we got an upgrade to a better room for free. The location is amazing — 10 min walk to the main bulevar, yet very quiet and quaint. For given price it’s a gem.
What could be improved: Small lamp near the bed would be nice, we only had ceiling light.
Exceptional Good location, clean and tidy, beautiful view from the balcony. I will also choose this place next time.
What could be improved: Wi-Fi often dropped
Pleasant stay in Budva - Friendly and kind host
- Clean
- calm and white
- really nice terrace
- 10 minutes walk to the beach
What could be improved: - some hand soap in the bathroom would be nice
Exceptional Located in a fair distance to a beach or a bus stop. If you want to experience a stay with local touch, it's a great choice. The owner is very friendly, helpful and nice; she even awaited our arrival to give us a warm welcome. She makes her best to keep the place clean and tidy.
What could be improved: Perhaps a little bedside lamp would be helpful for bed time
Very Good Very nice host, even though she doesn't speak English. Comfortable beds. Nice rooms with small fridge. Perfect location very close to everything. Very good quality for the price. Nice views of the sea
What could be improved: For some unknown reason the host doesn't want to put more than a toilet paper roll at a time. Every single night (we stayed 4) there was no toilet paper and no possibility to ask. There is a sink where you can wash whatever you need, but in the night there is no light and also there is no light in the stairs that brings you to the rooms
Exceptional The staff the best
Exceptional Everything was perfect, the room was so clean, the location is great near everything and the host were so friendly and helpful and very welcoming.
Exceptional Clean, comfy, the beaches are near
