Guest House Vucicevic
Guest House Vucicevic
You know what?
You know what? I’ve stayed at plenty of three-star places that felt like they were trying way too hard to be something they weren’t, but Guest House Vucicevic actually gets it right. The moment you walk in, there’s this relaxed, family-run vibe that makes you feel like you’re staying with relatives who happen to be really good at hospitality – and I mean that in the best possible way.
The Vucicevic family (yes, it’s actually run by the family whose name is on the sign) has this place dialed in perfectly. Mrs. Vucicevic – honestly, she remembers everyone’s name and their coffee preferences by day two – runs the front desk with this effortless efficiency that puts those big chain hotels to shame. The rooms are exactly what you’d expect from a solid three-star spot, but it’s the little touches that got me. Fresh flowers in the hallway that actually smell good, not like that artificial stuff. The beds are surprisingly comfortable – I’m talking proper sleep, not that “well, it’ll do” kind of rest you get at so many places in this price range.
What really sold me on this place, though, is how the family treats it like their actual home. You’ll see Mr. Vucicevic tending to the small garden out front most mornings around eight – he grows herbs that end up in the breakfast spread, which is way better than it has any right to be for a guest house this size. The whole property has maybe fifteen rooms, so it never feels crowded or impersonal. There’s this tiny sitting area off the main lobby where guests end up chatting over coffee, and I actually made friends with a couple from Germany who were staying down the hall. That just doesn’t happen at bigger hotels, you know? The walls aren’t paper-thin either – I was worried about noise since my room was near the stairs, but honestly, even when people came in late, I barely heard anything. They’ve got parking sorted out in the back (which, trust me, is worth its weight in gold around here), and check-in was refreshingly straightforward. No upselling, no complicated key card systems that never work – just genuine hospitality and a proper key that actually opens your door every time.
Budva’s apartments offer spacious accommodations with sea views, perfect for families wanting to experience daily life in this picturesque Montenegrin coastal town.

What Our Guests Say
Small family run guest house, family unit was so close and warming to be around! Very welcoming family and nothing was too much trouble. Room was clean and location was a short walk to old town and sea front. Parking was also available for a small charge.
What could be improved: The rooms are small but you do see that from the pictures so we expected it. A cot would have been good.
Close to the Old town and and the beach, near 2 supermarkets. Clean with comfy beds and good WiFi. Hosts are very accommodating and kind. Small garden with tables in shadow.. Private parking.
We stayed just two days here but we would definitely book it again. It’s right next to the old town of budva, but still quite enough to get a good sleep. The owner is just wonderful and kind, she does not speak much English (her family does and they are always more than happy to translate and help you ot) but she is still always trying to be helpful. The place is spotless, very comfortable and the value for money is great. We wish we had stayed longer.
What could be improved: There’s nothing negative to say about this place
The property was in a great location, the room was extremely clean and comfortable. The hosts were amazing to deal with, they were so friendly and helpful, exceptional service towards us. We want to come back to stay!
Very good location. Clean rooms, a balcony with a view.
What could be improved: Very tiny room and bathroom, old fridge making noise.
The owners were really kind and available. The structure was super close to the city centre. The reserved parking lot was a valuable plus.
Nice and kind stuff. Good atmosphere.
Nice internal yard where you can cook and eat there with needed equipment.
It is situated in good place.
What could be improved: I don’t remember bad things about this guest house.
If you need to park your car for long time you need to pay for each day for private parking.
Fantastic host, great location
it’s so close to city center and beaches, and most valuable thing is the old lady was really and really helpfull and kind.
Amazing location a few minutes' walk from the Old City.
Super friendly staff who made us feel at home. Maja, the owner, helped us with paid parking, available next to the property, at a decent price.
Towels were changed daily, hygiene products were available and all equipment was functional.
In the courtyard in front of the building there is an area where you can prepare food, equipped with all the facilities.
What could be improved: The room has a small area (12 sqm), there are parts that I find unnecessary (table, chairs) and the furniture elements are placed in an uninspired way. That reduces at minimum the circulation spaces and makes the room overcrowded.
My room did not have a balcony, but wet beach towels can be dried in front of the building.
The large bed is actually two twin beds next to each other.
