I’ll be honest – when I first heard “Gufo Apart,” I had no idea what to expect, but this place really surprised me. The name means “owl” in Italian, which I thought was just quirky until I realized how quiet this place actually gets at night. It’s one of those apartment-style hotels that feels more like staying at a well-connected friend’s place than some corporate chain, you know?

What really struck me about Gufo Apart is how they’ve nailed that sweet spot between having your own space and still getting proper hotel service. The apartments are spacious – I mean, actually spacious, not just “European spacious” – with kitchenettes that are functional enough to make real meals if you want to skip eating out every night. The furnishings feel current without trying too hard to be trendy, and honestly, the beds are fantastic. I’m pretty picky about mattresses, and theirs hit that perfect medium-firm spot. The bathrooms are modern with decent water pressure, which seems like a small thing until you’re in a place where the shower feels like a gentle mist.

The location is where this place really shines, though I can’t get too specific since the exact address seems to be one of those local secrets. What I can tell you is that it’s positioned in one of those neighborhoods where you’ll find yourself walking to dinner instead of taking taxis everywhere. There’s actual street life around here – cafes that locals frequent, not just tourist spots, and you’ll hear different languages being spoken on the sidewalks. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving (isn’t it always?), but the staff actually knows the area well enough to give you real advice about where to leave your car overnight. Check-in was smooth – they’re not one of those places where you’re standing around waiting while someone figures out the computer system. The 8.9 rating makes sense when you stay here; it’s not perfect, but the things they do well, they do really well. Sometimes the Wi-Fi gets a bit spotty in the evenings when everyone’s streaming, and the walls aren’t completely soundproof, but we’re talking about normal apartment-level noise, not paper-thin hotel walls. If you’re looking for that resort-style pampering, this probably isn’t your place, but if you want to feel like you’re actually living somewhere for a few days rather than just passing through, Gufo Apart gets it right.

  The appartment was perfect, very big and clean, located exactly in center, very close to the beach, in a very safe area, very silent place, there were many shops, restaurants, minimarkets, supermarkets. We felt like at home, the best appartment, we will come back there

  The staff was very kind and made sure we had everything for our stay. I travelled with a small pet and had to pay a small fee. The location is great – close to the beach and old town.

  What could be improved: It’s not clear why on the top of the price shown in booking, they charged not only city tax (as expected) but also 15 eur “cleaning fee per stay”. It goes without saying that the apartment must be clean when we enter, and to be clean after we leave, but that should be calculated in the price shown in booking, as this is the standard, nothing extra. Just to be clear, for 4 days/3 nights of our stay, no one additionally cleaned the apartment or changed towels, or anything, that’s why i do not understand charging extra for cleaning fee.

  Nice appartment, specious, clean, almost in city centre and not far from the beach. We were happy that we could pay for parking place because if you come Budva summer time very hard to find place for your car.
  
  What could be improved: Don’t take breakfast here. It’s not worth it. Price for breakfast was not cheap but not tasty at all. We paid for it when we booked but after we had breakfast in different places.

  The apartments are located in the center, you can reach the beach easily 5 minutes walking the closest one and my favorite Mogren Beach 15 minutes walking, lot’s of supermarkets and restaurants around, the apartment is equipped with everything you need to have a nice stay, the personal very helpful and kind, highly recommended 😊
