Hidden Oasis Apartment in Budva
Hidden Oasis Apartment in Budva
You know what?
You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to this place in Boljaci Do – honestly, the neighborhood felt a bit off the beaten path, tucked away from Budva’s main tourist strip. But sometimes those hidden spots turn out to be exactly what you didn’t know you were looking for.
The Hidden Oasis lives up to its name in this weird, wonderful way. It’s actually an apartment setup, not your typical hotel experience, which I mean… some people might find that jarring if they’re expecting daily housekeeping and a front desk. But there’s something refreshingly honest about it. The space feels lived-in rather than sterile – you’ve got a proper kitchen (thank god, because eating out in Budva every meal gets pricey fast), and the living area actually has character. The owner clearly put thought into the details; there are these little touches like local artwork and decent coffee supplies that make you feel less like a tourist and more like you’re crashing at a friend’s place. The bed situation is solid too – I’m picky about mattresses and actually slept well here, which doesn’t always happen in budget-friendly spots.
What really got me though was the location situation. Yeah, it’s not right in Old Town where you can stumble home from Casper Bar at 2am, but that’s honestly a blessing if you value sleep. You’re maybe a 15-minute walk to the main action, and the route takes you through some residential streets where you see how locals actually live – laundry hanging out, old guys playing cards, that sort of thing. Plus, and this is key, you can actually park here without losing your mind. Anyone who’s tried to navigate a car through Budva’s center in July knows what I’m talking about. The beach access is pretty straightforward once you figure out the local bus routes, though I’d recommend just walking if the weather’s decent – you’ll stumble across some smaller beaches that the tour groups miss entirely. One thing to note: it does get properly quiet at night, which was perfect for me, but if you’re the type who needs to be in the thick of nightlife, you might feel a bit isolated. The neighborhood has this residential vibe where things wind down early, so just keep that in mind when you’re planning your Montenegrin adventure.
Best hotels in Budva range from charming boutique properties in the historic old town to elegant beachfront resorts with stunning views of the Adriatic Sea and surrounding mountains.
