The kitchen’s properly equipped – not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation – which is clutch when you want to grab fresh fish from the market down in Stari Grad and cook it yourself. Speaking of location, you’re basically a 10-minute walk down to Budva’s old town, but far enough up the hillside that you escape all that summer chaos. Trust me, when those cruise ships dock and the narrow streets get packed, you’ll appreciate being able to retreat up here.

What really sells this place though is how it balances that peaceful hillside vibe with easy access to everything. The infinity pool – and I know everyone says their pool is amazing – but this one actually delivers. It’s not huge, sure, but it’s perfectly positioned so you’re swimming right into that sea view. I spent way too many evenings there with a local Vranac wine, watching the sunset paint everything golden. The host mentioned they keep the pool heated even in shoulder season, which is pretty thoughtful since May and October can still be a bit crisp for swimming. Parking’s included too, which anyone who’s driven around Budva’s cramped streets will tell you is worth its weight in gold. The building’s pretty quiet – mostly seems to be locals and a few other vacation rentals – so you’re not dealing with party crowds or slamming doors at 3am. Honestly, after a day exploring Kotor Bay or hiking up to the fortress, there’s something perfect about coming back to this little hillside retreat where the biggest decision is whether to order pršut from that fantastic konoba nearby or venture down into town for dinner.
