You know what struck me first about Hotel Aleksandar? It’s one of those places that feels like it has stories to tell. I mean, you walk into the lobby and there’s this solid, established vibe – not trying too hard to be trendy, but definitely not stuck in the past either. The 4-star rating feels about right, honestly. It’s comfortable without being flashy, and the staff actually seems to know what they’re doing instead of just going through the motions.
The rooms are… well, they’re solid. Nothing that’ll blow your mind, but everything works the way it should, which is more than I can say for some places I’ve stayed. The beds are actually comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathrooms have decent water pressure – you’d be surprised how often that’s an issue. One thing I appreciated was how quiet it gets at night. I don’t know if it’s the way the building’s positioned or just good soundproofing, but you’re not dealing with street noise or hearing your neighbors’ TV through the walls. The Wi-Fi works throughout the building too, which isn’t always a given despite what hotels claim.
Here’s the thing though – and this might explain that 7.2 rating – it’s not going to wow you with fancy amenities or Instagram-worthy design. It’s more like that reliable friend who shows up when they say they will. The breakfast is decent (nothing fancy, but they do a proper job with the basics), check-in was smooth, and when I had a question about getting around the area, the front desk person actually gave me useful directions instead of just pointing vaguely down the street. I’d stay here again, especially if I wanted something dependable without paying premium prices. Sometimes that’s exactly what you need – a place that just gets the fundamentals right without any drama.

What could be improved: Beach near hotel charged for lounge chairs. Would be nice to be free for guests.
Hotel Aleksandar's location is excellent. The staff was friendly. The rooms were comfortable. Wifi worked well for me. Easy to get to the beach from hotel but it is a public beach so you do have to pay for the chairs. Breakfast was satisfying. A lot of options. Nice restaurants in the area. There are clubs outside the hotel so it does get noisy but honestly didn't bother me at all. Hotel has so much potential but owners don't do much to spruce it up. A nice paint job would go a long way. Our stay was comfortable. It wasn't as bad as the reviews make it seem.
What could be improved: The outside of hotel makes it look dingy. I had confirmed 8 double rooms but when I checked in, they were over sold so gave me a one bedroom apartment with one queen bed and one sofa bed. I requested some money back because this is not the same as having 2 separate rooms with 2 queen beds. Hotel did not want to compensate because they moved us into our rooms the next day which was also a hassle. Booking did compensate so grateful for that.
It’s a nice structure with relatively charming space. The rooms have been fully renovated so it’s pretty nice.
You have 2 pools which is nice as the beach is probably the worse one I saw for a long time.
What could be improved: The large pool is not really clean .. you can see cigarette / bottles etc left by non respectful clients and not clean by the personnel.
The beach is divided between an open one (dirty / overcrowded) and paid one (overcrowded and dirty too!) .. lts like Rimini but dirtier is with way more people !
Budva could have been a nice place but as always human greed transformed it into a mass tourism nightmare.

What could be improved: -Noise from young boys, who played in the adult pool, without that the guard take action.
-Very little service in the pool bar.
-The hotel ovner need to cut the threes. Its look terrible out that almost all view from the terrasse its closed with old ugly trees.
Its a shame for the whole hotel.
Cut three and paint, and the hotel will have a new spring.
-Not changeing towels in the bathroom.
-As last time, the small refrigator, stood in a closed closet, and no air circulation to the cooling heat exchanger. Therfore not cold inside.
-Terrible burocratic to change a room. The front desk personal need to have permission to change a room, and not need to go to a manager who think he is a "god", to take a such decision.
Like from old communist time. Clean up the management.
-Our second time we spend a week there.

What could be improved: Wellness centre prices
Good location close to Old Town. Sea is close, too, but still need to walk (there is only 1 hotel in Budva which is located right at the beach, and it's much more expensive).
They have animation during summer months; breakfast is OK 7AM-10AM.
What could be improved: Breakfast was not very tasty.
Sunbeds and umbrellas at a discount price for hotel guests, but still 15 euros a day.
Also did not like that parking was listed as 5 euros a day, but when we arrived, the guy at the gate said it is 10 euros a day and cash only. We ended up parking our rental car here for 1 day, and the rest at my parent's hotel for cheaper.
(I double-checked with my printed reservation from booking.com that it was supposed to be 5e)
We stayed for three nights and loved it. The room was clean. The balcony was huge. Food was ok and decent.
What could be improved: Parking was 10 Euros/night for hotel guests??? Mot logical
Also no windos to refresh the room only balcony door.
Wifi didnt work 1 day all day.

The location of the hotel is perfect as it is close to everything. Nice view from the hotel room of the pool and beach.
What could be improved: The room is very small. The room were not cleaned during the stay, only towels were changed and beds made. Better cleaning service is really needed.
