The front desk folks remember your name after the first day, and they actually know the area well enough to give you directions that don’t involve pulling out Google Maps. The housekeeping is spot-on too – they manage to clean thoroughly without moving all your stuff around, which is honestly an art form. Breakfast runs until a reasonable hour (because who wants to sprint downstairs at 8 AM on vacation?), and while it’s not going to blow your mind, it’s fresh and there’s enough variety that you won’t get bored if you’re staying several days. The coffee’s actually decent, which automatically puts it ahead of about half the hotels out there. That 8.1 rating makes perfect sense to me – it’s the kind of place where everything just works the way it should, without any nasty surprises or corners cut where you’d notice.
