You know what honestly surprised me about Hotel Diplomat by Aycon? It’s one of those places that manages to feel both polished and genuinely comfortable at the same time. I mean, sure, it’s got that four-star polish you’d expect, but there’s something refreshingly unpretentious about the whole experience that had me actually relaxing instead of worrying about whether I was fancy enough to be there.

The lobby hit me first – not in an overwhelming marble-and-chandeliers way, but more like walking into someone’s really well-appointed home if that someone happened to have excellent taste and a decent budget. The staff at check-in were actually helpful too, not just going through the motions. They knew their stuff about the area and didn’t make me feel like I was interrupting their day by existing.
