Hotel Description

Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Hotel Imperial Conference & Spa – you know how these big conference hotels can be, right? All business, no soul. But this place actually surprised me in the best way possible. The moment you walk into that lobby, there’s this immediate sense that someone really thought about the details. The lighting hits just right (not too harsh like most hotel lobbies), and there’s this subtle scent – something between eucalyptus and cedar that makes you want to just… breathe deeper.

What really got me was how they’ve managed to balance the whole conference center vibe with genuine luxury. I mean, yes, there are definitely suits walking around with badges and rolling suitcases, but the spa wing feels like a completely different world. The treatment rooms are honestly some of the quietest spaces I’ve ever been in – you can barely hear the conference buzz from there. And speaking of the spa, their thermal pools are the real deal. Not just hot tubs with fancy tiles, but actual mineral-rich water that leaves your skin feeling different for days. The staff there knows their stuff too – I watched them customize treatments based on what people actually needed, not just pushing the most expensive package.

The rooms hit that sweet spot between professional and comfortable. Mine had this massive window that actually opened (you’d be surprised how rare that is these days), and the bed was firm enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with pillows all night. Little things matter here – the shower pressure is excellent, the minibar isn’t ridiculously overpriced, and someone clearly thought about where to put the electrical outlets. Check-in was smooth even during what looked like a busy conference week, and the concierge team seems to actually know the area instead of just reading from scripts. One thing though – if you’re sensitive to noise, maybe request a room away from the conference center side. It’s not terrible, but there’s definitely some early morning activity when events are running. Overall, this is one of those places that earns its five stars not by being flashy, but by getting the fundamentals right and then adding those thoughtful touches that make you want to come back.

To book a hotel in Budva during peak Mediterranean season, travelers need early planning as this coastal gem draws visitors eager to experience its pristine beaches and historic old town.

What could be improved: The only little thing we didn’t like it was the head of the shower which wasn’t working good, everything else it was excellent!

  • Patrycja from Poland – 15 April 2025 (9/10)

I highly recommend staying at this hotel. It has a very good location and modern design. The service is top-notch – everyone is extremely polite and helpful. The hotel is very clean, which really adds to the comfort. There's a swimming pool on the 5th floor with a great view. Breakfasts are varied and delicious. A big plus is the excellent restaurant where you can have dinner, we tried many places, but the food there was our favorite. The only small downside is that the hotel is located near a busy street.

Fabulous hotel in a fabulous location. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially Nina at the reception who we met on our arrival.

We came off-season so the Hotel and City was not congested. We really enjoyed the weather too.

The hotel had a nice and tasty breakfast selection. The indoor pool area was small and nice with lovely views of the ocean.

This was our first visit and we will definitely come back to this hotel.
