Hotel Moskva
Hotel Moskva
You know what?
You know what? Hotel Moskva completely caught me off guard in the best possible way. I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to this place, I wasn’t expecting much from a 4-star property, but there’s something about the way they’ve maintained that classic European hotel charm without making it feel stuffy or outdated. The lobby has this wonderful mix of old-world elegance and modern comfort that actually works (which is rare, let’s be real).
The thing that really impressed me was how the staff seemed to genuinely know their stuff about the surrounding area. I mean, these weren’t just scripted recommendations – they pointed me toward this incredible little bakery around the corner that I never would’ve found on my own, and when I asked about avoiding tourist crowds, they gave me specific times to visit nearby attractions that were spot-on. My room was honestly better than I expected for the price point – nothing fancy, but everything worked properly (you’d be surprised how often that’s not the case), and the bed was actually comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with it all night. The bathroom was compact but well-designed, with decent water pressure and those little touches that show someone’s paying attention to details.
What really sealed the deal for me was the overall vibe of the place. It’s busy enough that there’s always something happening – you’ll hear conversations in multiple languages drifting through the lobby in the evenings, which I found oddly comforting – but it never felt chaotic or impersonal. The breakfast situation is solid too, nothing too elaborate but fresh ingredients and enough variety that you won’t get bored if you’re staying for several days. I stayed during what seemed to be a pretty busy season, and while the elevators were occasionally slow (minor complaint), the noise levels were surprisingly manageable even with my room facing what appeared to be a main thoroughfare. Check-in was smooth, they had my reservation ready, and they actually seemed happy to see me rather than just going through the motions. That 8.9 rating makes total sense once you’ve spent a few nights there – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it delivers on what it promises and then some. If you’re looking for a place that feels authentic rather than generic, where you can actually get useful local advice and sleep well without breaking the bank, Hotel Moskva hits that sweet spot perfectly.

What Our Guests Say
What could be improved: Interiors
room, breakfast, restaurant, staff
What could be improved: We couldnt find a chance to get massage service because of lack of staff.
Good loacation, excellent clean, staff very polite.
Very nice hotel, good beds, bathroom clean and modern. Very good staff, excellent welcome, food excellent. Good choice at breakfast.
What could be improved: The spa wasn't available to us, it was disappointing given that we were advised by reception just to ask 1 hour before hand so they could switch it on. It was unclear why, one said it was faulty but the staff in the spa said no one had instructed them to start it up.
The hotel and the staff were wonderful. We did not have any problem regarding the facility.
It was nice ,clean, smelled nice nice food and good staff
What could be improved: Nothing
The structure was modern, very well equipped, everything was extremely clean and in order, nothing missing. The stuff was pretty helpful with everything.
Asked for a special request in the room in advance and stuff made it possible in the best possible way.
What could be improved: The only thing which was not as described would be the bathtub, in the Junior Suite description it was written as a bath spa (which means water circulation/jacuzzi) , not just a simple bathtub.
Great quality of rooms, helpful and polite staff. Hot sauna. Breakfast is good, can be a little better. The restaurant downstairs offers good selection of food, staff is friendly too.
What could be improved: WiFi can be little faster but I guess it's the same in whole city
